Place has lots of potential and lovely staff. Urgently needs management to sort out cleaning and then really simple main

The building is lovely and has a LOT of potential. Staff were great.

Cons:

1st apartment had a faulty (warm) fridge, oven and toilet needed cleaning properly, bits of simple maintenance (e.g. broken door lock, paint in the bathroom) required so we were moved.
Conservatory for dinner on 1st night - we’d have walked out had we spotted the spillages, cobwebs and food splashes up the wall to shoulder height!
In 2nd room again maintenance required, blind faulty, dining chairs about to collapse, stains on sofas… etc!

Travel lodge experience at twice the price

Cons:

Couldn’t get parking when arrived, was given a room that was more like staff quarters. No hot water, tv was hung on wall with cables hanging all direction, stains on wall and carpet. Staff unfriendly, struggled to acknowledge you are there, and didn’t take Amex

Pros:

Very nice location. Rooms are a mini apartments. Mine had a kitchen and a living room. Very comfortable bed.

Cons:

The room needs a bit of DIY. The couch in the living room was a bit stained but cleaned.

Ok for a convenient overnight stop but think about dining elsewhere
Pros:

The location, appearance and staff were very good. It was a very quiet Monday bank holiday evening

Cons:

We booked a “basement suite” and it was large and comfortable but you had to go outside and around the building and down some stairs that were not very appealing. Not a huge problem but less nice than the rest of it. The bar had no staff on because the place was very very low on customers. The food choice in the restaurant was just a little limited and it was more expensive than was justified

Was a lovely looking hotel and very clean! the staff were very friendly,

Cons:

They stopped serving food on a sunday at 6pm! We heard the roast was amazing but didn't get there till 630!
Our room was directly above the kitchen so was really noisy both in the evening for a while and first thing in the morning!!

The food was BEAUTIFUL all in a quiet location. ALL THE STAFF FROM FIRST RECEPTION TO DINNER AND BREAKFAST WERE FIRST CLASS professional and extremely polite.

Cons:

Only thing is a few bits of paint but NOTHING TO PUT OFF ANOTHER STAY OR RECOMMENDATION

Excellent one night stay
Pros:

huge rooms and bathroom, Very clean. Location was great for our needs. Very impressive building. We only used the room so are unable to rate the restaurant or breakfast. I would recommend the hotel and would use it again

Cons:

The fridge in the kitchen didn't work although this did not effect our stay. Noise from neighbouring flat but very short lived
