BAD service and environment at Ravens Hotel
Pros:

What is advertised is deceiving. The place is not welcoming at all. The location not safe, the lifts VERY smelly, generally the place not clean. Customer service not good I had to look for alternative accommodation. Still waiting for my full refund after declaring we cannot stay there after arriving at 2am to those bad conditions!

Pros:

The hotel was very dirty and under staffed . Hot water showers were all faulty most clients were complaining. The bathroom and linen were dirty and beds broken. We had to move to HBT hotel at 11.00 pm as the conditions were unbearable. Please dont agree to pay before you see the facility. Thats how i lost my 2nights booking.

Convenient and Clean
Pros:

The Ravens Hotel is in central Kampala and just a 5 minute walk from the main bus station. The hotel is situated in a very busy building but once you step inside the lobby, it is a pleasant design and welcoming atmosphere. The Wifi didn't work in the room, but the signal was strong in the lobby and in the hallways. The staff was friendly, there is a restaurant, and the room was comfortable with a nice bathroom and fan. Would definitely recommend for a short stay in Kampala!

Two thumbs up, for the price
Pros:

A bit in need of small repairs, but on the whole very good value for money; cheap but comfortable, friendly staff and within walking distance from major transport hubs (bus station/companies, 'taxi stand' for minibuses).

No Record of my Reservation
Pros:

I booked this hotel through Expedia, but the hotel had no record of my reservation. In fact, they said it was an error that Expedia was advertising their rooms (I did notify Expedia of this issue, and they said they would follow-up on it). Upon arrival to the hotel, there was confusion on what room I booked, and at what rate. They were able to show me to my room, and it was mis-advertized (for example, no wifi in individual rooms). This hotel is in the heart of Central Kampala, so LOTS of noise. I'm usually ok with noise, but this was pouring into the room. I ended up booking another room at a different hotel.
