The hotel is close to the central square.
The rooms are big and they are cleaned everyday.
Breakfast is basic.
And this is where the good things end.
From the beginning the receptionist tried to scam me.
When I arrived at the hotel the receptionist told me that she could not find my reservation. I showed her my reservation on my phone and she called another person.
In the end, she found my reservation and after I showed her the description of the room on Booking she gave me a similar room but with 2 single beds instead of a double bed as I booked.
She told me to pass by the reception later in order to pay to her colleague because she could not receive the payment - strange right ?
Ok, the night came so I went to the reception to pay for my reservation. This time there was a guy and the first thing he told me was that I should cancel my reservation on Booking and that he will make me a new reservation. This seemed very dodgy for me.
Then he told me that he could not find my reservation. After a little back and forth when he told me again I should cancel my reservation on Booking he tells me that I reserved a room with one double bed and that I got a room with 2 single beds, hence I need to pay more.
Of course I started to get angry. First of all I didn't ask for any room upgrade. I accepted the room I was given. Secondly if you say you can't find my reservation how come you know which room type I reserved ? strange right ?
Ok, as these first attempts of scams failed he went to the next one - the payment. I offered to pay in cash in USD as I previously did in other places in Peru. He told me it wasn't possible. I needed to pay in soles but at the exchange rate of the hotel, not at the Exchange rate of the Bank of Peru. The reservation on Booking was in USD. After a somewhat tense discussion I finally caved in and paid the extra 13 soles he was asking.
In the end I spent more than half an hour at the reception for basically him trying to scam me.
All of this from the beginning seemed just a staged piece of theatre. Shame on you.

la habitacion que me toco, tenia como un tragaluz que conectaba con la habitacion del piso de arriba, y se escuchaba.
El personal muy amable, las instalaciones limpias y la ubicación excelente, cerquisima a todo.

Breakfast was quite pleasant, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The hotel is well-located, and the staff make it easy to arrange transportation around the city! The room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were more than acceptable!
The only thing I didn't like was the entrance staircase—it's a bit steep!

Walking distance to the plaza. Restaurant staff.
Street (car, pedestrian) noise all night. Very bad single pane glass windows, no gap seals. No table lamps as shown in booking images. One light for the whole area. The hotel added 5% surcharge for using credit card for payment - this was not anywhere in the booking payment description or final payment area. (Credit card information was a must to book rooms)
El personal del hotel sobre todo Paola que nos estuvo ayudando a resolver cualquier duda o problema y los desayunos.
Reservamos una habitación a la calle porque era más grande y bonita pero al verla nos dimos cuenta que era algo ruidosa. Solicitamos un cambio y nos lo hicieron sin problema
Agua caliente, habitacion amplia con vista a la calle, muy amables, cama comoda
El wifi no funcionaba bien, no pudimos conectarnos :(
