This was our second visit having loved it 4 years ago with our then 4 month old. We came back this time with a 4 year and 1 year old!
This time it felt even better than we remembered. It goes without saying that the location is excellent - on the beach, close to lots of bars and restaurants (we recommend rustic gardens, mitsos, cheraki) but what really makes it so amazing is the staff - attentive, great with the kids, know us by name, know our room number so ordering drinks etc is easy and seamless, the front desk staff couldn’t do more for us. It is the small things that often go unnoticed which makes everything about this hotel amazing - all centred around the great location and the staff.
Our first family holiday as a four and we both said the best holiday we have had in many many years.
Thank you everyone there and in particular Aggelos, we will be back again!
I turned 70 last week. My wife and I wanted to take the kids to someplace beautiful and relaxing. Choice was easy. This is now our fifth visit, and hopefully far from last. Everything is what you dream of when looking for the perfect family vacation
Vergina Beach Resort is more than a hotel, it is truly a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Dionysus and Marina at the front desk. Our villa was incredible- 4 beds and 4 bathrooms with a sea view and private pool and jacuzzi. The villa was beautifully appointed with modern furnishings and amenities like robes, slippers, and black out curtains. The beds were comfortable and large.
The sea at the hotel is crystal clear and the beach loungers and umbrellas are plentiful. The view from the beach is gorgeous with an island directly in front of it, and surrounded by mountains along the coast.
Although the hotel is luxurious, it’s also very family friendly. There are high chairs and baby changers in the bathroom.
The food at the hotel is delicious! Each morning we had breakfast on the beach with a variety of options from eggs and bacon to Cretan desserts and cheese/spinach pies. The iced lattes were amazing. Beach service was also available for lunch which offered burgers, salads, pizza, sandwiches. There wasn’t a single thing we didn’t enjoy! We especially loved the chicken wings!
What sets this resort apart from others is the people who work here. Agilos and his brother Sergio ( as well as many others) served us daily with a smile and warmth that reflected true hospitality and kindness. There wasn’t a need that wasn’t met and exceeded! Eleni, who helped tidy our room, was always checking in to be sure we didn’t need anything.
We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and we cannot wait to return to visit with our new friends. This hotel was a little glimpse of paradise!
One of the most incredible hotels I’ve ever been to. It’s the perfect place for families, couples, and anyone looking for a first class experience. Aggelos and crew made the experience truly special from the morning coffees to drinks on the beach. An incredible place with incredible people!
Stayed here for 11 x nights end May / start June 2026 and would highly recommend it.
Location excellent - right on the beach, beautiful views, and a lovely area where the sun beds are. Only 40 minutes from Chania airport and 20-30 minutes to Chania. Spoilt for choice in terms of restaurants within walking distance. Follow the hotel’s advice for where to eat and you will have some excellent meals, reasonably priced (especially compared to the UK), in traditional restaurants where the service and welcome is excellent.
Rooms - we stayed in a 2 x roomed apartment, with partial sea view. 5 of us, 2 x adults and 3 x children. Was sufficient space, rooms kept very clean. The newer block that has been built looks very nice indeed.
Beach bar - food was excellent here, and really good value. Breakfasts were €10pp and you got loads! Lunches also great.
Service - was absolutely brilliant. All the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Reception were great, organised a boat trip for us and taxis. The people working in the pool bar were so friendly and provided brilliant service from the minute we arrived. Thank you again to you all.
All in all, would highly recommend. Having walked up and down the beach in both directions some distance, I’d say this is one of the best spots on Agia Marina beach.
We stayed for a few nights in early October. It's very convenient for restaurants and supermarkets. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the pool bar/beach area was beautiful. The stay was made special by a welcoming Sofia. She suggested when to go to the beaches due to the weather, and she was right. Also gave great recommendations for meals. All other interactions with the staff were very pleasant. It was a nice stay, and I would return.
Small, nice and friendly. Updated rooms, everything was very clean. The service was great, a family like team working together for years. The waiter remembered how we liked our coffees after the first day. The handwritten list with personal restaurant recommendations was spot on. It’s the small stuff that makes it so good.

Wir wurden im neuen Trakt untergebracht, Erdgeschoss, Apartment mit eigenem Pool. Ursprünglich hatten wir eine Junior Suite in der ersten Etage mit Meerblick gebucht, bekamen dann aber ein Upgrade. Wir waren sehr begeistert und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
wonderful experience, hotel is amazing, staff is really warm and welcoming, breakfast was great. 10/10. Location was great, the parking was also good, the communication with the hotel before the arrival was also good. We got one room for the beginning of the stay and another one for the end, and the last room was better than the first, with ocean view and everything new.
The first room I got was a little noisy because of the street, but it was the room we booked. we also had a small issue with the window not closing but they fixed right away when we informed. It was not really a negative point I think.
Excellent location, extremely friendly staff, especially the reception. The beach was very nice, great atmosphere. I would definitely come back!
