Pros:

Breakfast was excellent, along with the service, and the location was superb. Probably the best breakfast from the whole holiday

Historical stay in an amazing mansion.
Pros:

Giannis sweet is nice and quiet - not applicable for other rooms in this hotel. Bed is huge and comfortable. House full of history - worth to see at least once.

Cons:

Hotel lobby and restaurant open to public from 11am till late night - so a lot of people taking pictures and no privacy (except in the room). Pool you can use until 4pm, but restaurant is open, sunbeds are broken, towel service terrible and drinks for the pool as well. Everyone is more concerned about restaurant guests. No space at the poolside either. Weird situation overall.

Save yourself a ton of money and stay at a Hilton unless you’re doing it for the memory of Gianni

It was Gianni Versace’s former home

Cons:

Not only was the staff very rude, but I was lied to about amenities that were available to the guests and not only is the furniture in the exceptional suite specifically the aviary suite, torn old, ratty, and disgusting, but there was so much dust caked up on the chandelier. It aggravated my entire parties allergies, the lime scale, calcium, and rust was built up on the bidet, the toilet, and the shower fixtures was so bad it was turning blue! The wood floors were scuffed and nothing about this was luxury the toilet paper was so thin I could read through it! There was also exposed electrical wiring, so the lamp wouldn’t work and the outlet is completely uncovered and broken on one side, which is a fire hazard!

Beautiful Facade, Terrible Execution
Cons:

Casa Casuarina is visually striking and full of potential, and it seems to know it, which is precisely the problem. The experience begun poorly before we even reached our room, and what happened at check-in is hardly worth detailing here, being only the first in a series of disappointments that set the tone for everything that followed.
The staff is by far the biggest disappointment. Service feels disorganized, inattentive, and at times outright unprofessional. Guests are often left waiting, requests are ignored or handled poorly or with attitude, and there's a clear sense that customer experience is not a priority, more that guests are tolerated between restaurant bookings. For a place that positions itself as exclusive and high-end, this level of service is simply unacceptable.
The property itself reflects the same attitude. Look past the initial grandeur and the cracks show: worn linens, neglected corners, details that fall well below what the rates suggest. Not a place in disrepair, just one where standards have quietly settled at the minimum needed to keep operating, not to actually deliver on the promise.
Casa Casuarina is a place that has learned to live off its name. It offers just enough to avoid outright failure, while investing little in the kind of attention and craft that would make the experience genuinely memorable. The potential is clearly there, which makes the complacency all the more frustrating.
At this price point, if what you're looking for is substance on top of spectacle (genuine service, real attention, an experience that actually matches what you're paying for) look for it anywhere else to save yourself the disappointment!
One final note: if you still decide to book (it is after all Gianni Versace's former mansion) be aware that I was contacted via WhatsApp by what turned out to be a scam, using my exact booking reference and personal details. Information that could only have come from Booking or the hotel itself.

Ha nem a kulináris élményért jövünk, akkor szenzációs a hely, egyszer érdemes kipróbálni 1-2 éjszakára.

Nagyon szép, extravagáns környezet, a minden részletre kiterjedő elegancia és kreativitás feltűnő. A lakosztály tágas, ízléses bolt, az ágy nagyon kényelmes.

Cons:

Az ételek jók voltak, de semmi extra, ilyen környezethez különlegesebb tányérokat tudnék elképzelni. A reggeli is olyan, amilyet az Ocean drive-on bárhol kapni, sőt ettünk sokkal jobbakat is az itt kapott reggeliknél. Kis részlet, de pl a capuccino teteje simán egy tejhab volt, minden egyszerűbb barista díszítést mellőzve. A személyzet öltözéke kissé összevissza, nem egységes pl a pulóver vagy a dzseki a hidegebb időben, ilyen helyen ez nem elfogadott. A felszolgálók elénk jöttek, nem voltak igazán előzékenyek. A chek in pultnál bejelentkezésnél nagyon kedves volt a fiatalember, kinyomtatták kérésünkre egy nyomtatványt is, illetve kijelentkezéskor is nagyon udvarias és kedves volt velünk a fiatal hölgy. Az esték nagyon zajosak voltak, az étteremből közel éjfélig felhallatszott a hangzavar, utána pedig a konyhai dolgozók zaja.

A unique stay in an interesting property
Pros:

Villa casa is an impressive and unique building with such a lot of history. The staff are so helpful and friendly and its location on the seafront is fabulous. It has a beautiful restaurant with great food. Talia on the front desk was superb couldn’t do enough to help always happy to see you.

Cons:

The headboard really smelt along with the fridge in the room. There was nowhere to comfortably sit in the room.

Beautiful place to stay for a unique cultural experience.
Pros:

The building was beautiful, historical and interesting, plus the location was fantastic. The food was also excellent.

Cons:

The pool was a major attraction but once there, it is in the busy restaurant, and pretty hostile to potential bathers. Really wish we could have used the mosaic pool, but with no wear to discreetly disrobe, towel off or even sit while being watched and photographed by diners - that is nightmarish.
