The Ellysian Boutique Hotel

I had an amazing stay at The Ellysian Boutique Hotel in Placencia! The property is modern, stylish, and perfectly located right along “the sidewalk,” making it incredibly easy to explore the village. The pool and beach area were fantastic—relaxing, clean, and never crowded.

Because the hotel is small, it truly felt like our own private resort. The staff were wonderful the entire time—friendly, welcoming, and always attentive. Special shoutout to the front desk team and the bartender at the pool bar, who made our stay even better with their warm service.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and centrally located spot in Placencia, I highly recommend The Ellysian. I’d absolutely stay here again!

Rooms were well kept, and the service was great. The locks and door knobs in certain areas need changing and tightening for security purposes.

The best view!!! Rooms are updated, clean and air conditioned. Service is exceptional, beach is gorgeous. The spa and restaurant are 10/10 and it’s centrally located in the heart of the Placencia village, within walking distance of everything.

Count yourself lucky if you are able to get a room at the Ellysian. It's beautiful, extremely clean, very quiet, and well located. The staff is fantastic. The bed, very comfortable. We loved using the kayak, and enjoyed the pool and beach as well. And it might seem like a small thing, but having filtered water just outside our door was super convenient. And don't miss the restaurant!

We had a 2 night stay. From fast replying emails to a warm welcome the moment we got in contact with the Ellysian. The room was spacious and clean. They have coffee makers (very important) we love to start our morning with a cup of coffee. We also didn’t get the chance to have breakfast in their restaurant however we requested Room service, the food was perfectly great! We had steak and eggs and pancakes with eggs on our first morning. The second morning we ordered French toast and couldn’t leave without eating the steak and eggs(it’s so good!). The food portions are generous!
A special Thanks to all the lovely and attentive staff that took care of us, I wish I could mention each and everyone but k don’t remember their names. Apolinaria, Anthony and Vanessa did great with making our trip great! Thanks for an unbeliezable get away :)

I really enjoyed my stay at "The Ellysian" The staff were all welcoming, The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable, also to mention the food was delicious. The view at the roof top was also beautiful .

I had the most amazing time during my weekend solo trip to Placencia! The entire experience was incredibly refreshing and exactly what I needed. From the beautiful beaches and relaxed vibes to the friendly locals and delicious food, every moment felt special. I truly enjoyed exploring on my own, soaking in the stunning scenery, and taking time to just be present. Traveling solo gave me a renewed sense of freedom and joy. Placencia captured my heart in so many ways, and I already find myself wishing to return someday soon. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go back!

Friendly staff, amazing accomodations, excellent food, beautiful views and very convenient location in the village. Everything was clean and comfy. My girlfriend said she needs to buy pillows like those at the hotel because they were super comfortable. Overall, highly recommended.

We had an overnight stay after a week at sea. We wish we stayed longer! The dinner was amazing with top notch service. The beachfront room was beautiful and the poolside bar was a nice touch. Wonderful property and amenities!

As ive seen in other reviews, very nice people here.

However, the speed of service both at the resutaurant and regarding room cleaning and laundry services are quite slow.

We came in summer, slower season. But it took an hour or more for each meal and our laundry took over 12 hours when they had said it would be done by the time we returned that day from an excursion leaving ys without clean laundry at night.

Dinner at Muna had only 3 tables yer it took over an hour for our food to come out. 3 employees talked in front of house while we sat for hour straight and then food came out overcooked and it was frustratijng. In the end, the food tassted good but it was 2 hours by the time we left.

I would recommend others to go there, as it's one of the nicest places in the area but be prepared to spend some time waiting on services. Our experience may not be the norm.

It’s a beautiful place. Quiet and access to beach too. Boardwalk right outside the door. Clean and well kept. Wood beds are very noisy if you move. We had double queens and with kids let’s just say we had a squeaky night.

We tried the restaurant upstairs. Really nice as well. Very good food.

I done spa treatment as well and let’s just say it was a storage room for the outdoor cushions and they weren’t set away very well. To pay these prices with no one to greet you, no AC on, no soothing spa music, no calming spa scent go great you not The atmosphere I was hoping for 👎🏼. The massage itself was amazing.

The Ellysian was such a wonderful place. The location was great but truly it was the people who worked there that made it amazing. My wife and I have visited Placencia before but first time at this property and when we come back - we will stay here!

The hotel is probably one of the nicest in Placencia. The people that work there are wonderful, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

This hotel was nothing short of amazing! Not only a great location, but top notch service the whole time you’re there. So convenient to everything that we didn’t have to rent a golf cart.

This is a clean hotel with some upscale amenities. Although the staff was friendly and accommodating. I was very disappointed in our transportation arrangements and poor communication. During our booking, the representative stated they were official booking agents for mya air and would arrange for our transportation from the international airport to the hotel. I provided my international flight information and my travel companion‘s name and the time of our arrival we were told there would be an additional charge which was agreeable. At no time was I made aware that we would not be flying and rather we would be charged $430 for a three hour car ride from the airport to the hotel. We spent about an hour at the Mayan air counter, trying to find our reservation and then another 20 minutes trying to contact the hotel. Additionally, we did not receive any of our VIP upgrades on booking through Expedia as expected. The rooms are not equipped with coffee makers. There’s no coffee in the lobby and the restaurant was not open during our stay. This makes it very difficult if you have any excursions planned and are leaving early.

Hotel snd service was amazing! Food was also very good. Highly recommend and would stay again if ever visiting Belize again
