Reception staff seemed a little inexperienced with some lack of knowledge when it comes to answering basic queries. Most eating options were in City Centre (not next to Hotel). Hotel food prices were a little expensive in comparison to most other restaurants..

Pros:

The hotel is modern and the rooms are comfortable

Cons:

Breakfast. The cook could not manage it took over30 mins for a pancake! Also the hotel charges a surcharge on all credit card transactions- ridiculous when they ask for a credit card for payment. I understand small businesses making a charge but an international chain. Really !!!!

I doubt if we will be back even as we are rewards members.
Pros:

We arrived after 3 in the afternoon and the first thing the desk clerk told me was the room was ready yet. As we came for my brother-in-laws funeral, we were already upset and stressed so he didn't help the situation at all. I had a paid reservation in advance. He then said he found us a room and that's all it was as it was very small and they kept changing the room temperture all the time which really sucked. Most staff were great and the buffet bnreakfast was the best. I am a rewards member but wasn't treated like one. I'm not sure if we would stay again as the manager (nicke? ) told me on the phone to see her when we came but she was off the whole time we were there. The dinner menu had a lot to be disered for as the choices were not very good and terrible expensive. The man at the desk just gave us our room cards and we didn't even know how to operate the elevator and he had to come twice to help us. Then when we finally got to our room there was no instructions how to operate the TV or the air temperture, so it was all just a guess to try and figure things out. Very bad welcome coming from Hamilton already stressed. There are a few more upsets at your hotel but no body cares so that's enough. Doubt if we will be there again. The George sounds a nicer place anyway. Very small rooms for a king size bed.
