I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rethymno Palace! From the moment I arrived until the day I left, everything exceeded my expectations.

The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional, always making sure I had everything I needed. Their genuine hospitality made me feel at home throughout my stay.

The hotel was spotless, and my room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean every day. The housekeeping team did an excellent job, and I really appreciated the attention to detail.

The food was outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options at every meal. There was always something new to try, and the quality was consistently excellent.

I also loved the atmosphere of the hotel. It was the perfect balance between relaxing during the day and lively in the evenings. The entertainment and parties were so much fun and added something special to the whole experience.

One of the things I appreciated most was the hotel’s close proximity to the beach. It was just a short walk away, making it so easy to enjoy the sea whenever I wanted. The pool area and the overall facilities were also very well maintained, creating a beautiful environment to relax and enjoy the holiday.

Overall, I genuinely couldn’t find anything to complain about. It’s rare to find a hotel where every aspect of the experience—from the food and cleanliness to the service and atmosphere—is so consistently excellent.

I highly recommend Rethymno Palace to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with outstanding hospitality. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so memorable. I will definitely be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The buffet was outstanding, offering a wide variety of fresh, delicious, and quality food every day. There was something for everyone, and every meal exceeded our expectations.
The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Housekeeping did an excellent job, and everything was maintained to good standard.The staff was professional, friendly, and always willing to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing experience. We will definitely be coming back!

An amazing overall experience! The hotel is beautifully situated on a street full of restaurants, bars and souvenir shops! Sea front, with a lounge bar right next to the beach!

Deifinitely worth visiting hotel!

Ok hotel, but probably not worth the full price. We bought it through a last minute deal so we were content, but we wouldn't quite call it a 5* resort compared to other hotels we have stayed at. If you mainly want to drink and sunbathe and are ok with eating similar but good food every day, this is the hotel for you.

Pros:
Most of the staff is friendly and super helpful. They were the highlight of our stay. The food was usually good, lots of seafood. Rooms were clean and cleaned properly every day and each room has a big balcony. The hotel has a nice (although a bit dated) design. There were few children, so the hotel felt calm and relaxing. Coffee and drinks at the beach/pool bar were very good and there is a huge selection. Cappucinos were great, we loved the bartenders. We arrrived around 3 in the morning and there were tables ready waiting for us with cold water and a small snack plate, which was great.

Cons:
The biggest, most annoying problem, is that there isn't enough sunbeds, and the hotel was full of people who would get up very early, come to the beach, reserve them with a towel, and then leave for multiple hours. The beach is much smaller than it looks from the pictures. So unles you get up at 7am, you likely won't get a sunbed! Even though there is a sign claiming that it is forbiden and that towels will be removed from reserved sunbeds, noone actually does that. There are some extra sunbeds folded by the pool, but you have to carry them over to a section of the garden and lay there on the grass and walk 100-200 metres to the pool/sea. This really ruined our experience, as we had to choose between sleeping and having sunbeds to lay on.

The beach is only partially sandy and it's a must to have swim shoes, otherwise you will hurt yourself. There is a long concrete /stone section you have to cross with water around knee level. We saw many older people struggling to walk on the stones, and some people even slipped. If you have any sort of mobility issue, you will have a problem getting into the water.

There is no way to get coffee before 10 am, as the machines in the breakfast buffet only serve a horrible brownish mixture that doesn't taste like coffee at all, and the bar only opens at 10. So you get up at 7 to get a sunbed and then wait 3 hours for coffee. We had to buy coffee each morning from a nearby shop.

The food was good but very oily, everything was fried in buckets of oil. The meals felt very focused on french clients, who were a majority in the hotel, and we really missed any greek meals (such as pita, musaka, haloumi etc). The restaurant isn't big enough for the whole hotel so we had to race other people for empty tables, meanwhile the poor staff was absolutely overworked and didn't have time to clean everything up in time.

Nice hotel with perfect location on the beach. Good, clean room, very kind and helpful staff and enough of tasty food.

Our stay at Rethymno Palace was truly unforgettable. We chose this hotel to celebrate our wedding, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we could have made.

Everything was exceptional, the beautiful hotel, the friendly and attentive staff, the delicious food, and the outstanding service. Everyone made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect.
