We liked our stay very much, and Braga is a lovely city.
Pros:

The location was very central. The rooms were very nice and each room has a different theme. The shower area was spacious with a good shower. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful and professional in their service.

Pros:

A localização é boa. O hotel fica próximo dos locais de interesse e do centro histórico,
O pequeno almoço é bom.
Os funcionários são simpáticos e prestáveis

Cons:

As comodidades do quarto são reduzidas. Não há chinelos (muito embora a disponibilidade tenha sido simpaticamente facultada pela recepção) e o quarto estava frio.
No entanto, anuncia dispor de estacionamento próprio, sem qualquer condicionalismo. Lá chegados, somos informados que era necessário reservar antes. O que é uma surpresa desagradável até porque o estacionamento na zona é escasso e por tempo limitado.

Schöne Lobby, kalte Zimmer.
Pros:

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind leider sehr kalt eingerichtet, und das weisse Spitallicht nimmt jegliche Stimmung – im Gegensatz zur Rezeption, wo offenbar viel Wert auf Ambiente gelegt wird. Am Frühstückstisch zog kalte luft durch die undichte Bauweise (obwohl sehr modern) rein - ist wohl leider normal in der Region.

Beim Einchecken wurde mir gesagt, dass ich das Frühstück für den nächsten Morgen bereits auswählen müsse anhand eines Blatts. Das kam mir sehr unsympathisch vor und führte zu einer kleinen Diskussion mit der freundlichen Rezeptionistin. Sie meinte, sonst müsse ich halt länger warten. Ich argumentierte, dass ich in meinen Ferien gerne spontan entscheide, ob ich z.B. Kaffee oder Latte Macchiato bzw. Eier oder Müsli möchte. Sie erklärte, dass man so Food Waste vermeiden könne.

Am nächsten Morgen bestellte ich dann, worauf ich Lust und Appetit hatte. Es war möglich, nachzubestellen. Die Familie am Nebentisch hatte hingegen riesige Mengen Essen vorbestellt und ließ große Teile, darunter ganze Fruchtplatten, Croissants und andere Gebäcke, unberührt oder durchstochert zurück.

Das Hotel sollte ernsthaft überlegen, wie Food Waste verhindert werden kann, und nicht mit starren Vorgaben argumentieren. Ich sprach den Kellner am Morgen darauf an – auch er war sichtlich entsetzt über die große Verschwendung.

An das Management: Wenn man Gästen vorgibt, bereits am Vorabend alles für das Frühstück entscheiden zu müssen, werden manche, je nach Persönlichkeit oder Kultur, alle Optionen auswählen und große Mengen bestellen, die dann ungenutzt bleiben. Dies löst das Problem der Verschwendung nicht, sondern verstärkt es nur.
