The housekeeper was very kind, allowing us to use the parking space right outside and accommodating our later-than-expected arrival. However, the room allocated to us (Room F) was much shabbier than those in the pictures. For example, the electrical socket was hanging off the wall, there was a spaghetti mess of cables on the wall around the TV, water seeped through the shower cubicle partition into the bedroom, the fridge was dirty and the room was generally dusty. But we realised later in our stay that other rooms were in much better condition — looks like we drew the short straw.
For the benefit of future guests, please note that rooms are not automatically cleaned — you have to leave a note in reception before noon if you want your room serviced. (We didn’t realise this until it was too late.)

Clean and neighborhood location.
No real vibe. No one around a lot of the time which felt odd.

隔壁房間內部的人講話大聲會比較明顯，室內環境不錯，一樓大廳的環境舒服，沒有電梯所以有需要住一樓環境的要先詢問
The design of the building and rooms was really cool -- great industrial feel. Air-conditioning was a very welcome because it was hot when we visited. There weren't many other people there when we stayed so it was quiet. Had everything we needed. It is located on a residential street but Tainan is a very small city, so getting to any tourist sites is a short taxi or Uber ride away. No street noise
There is not an attendant stationed at the front desk typically, as would be present in a large hotel. This appears to be a family-owned small business. When we arrived, there was no doorbell and we weren't sure how to get enter. There was a sign on the front door stating you could call a phone number, but we struggled to call this phone number because we had foreign cell phones. After a few minutes of panic when there seemed to be no way of getting in, somebody came to the front and let us in and gave us a fob key that we used to enter. We never saw any hotel workers around after that. FYI, no elevator in case you have heavy luggage

We could earlier in the room as check in. I was very tired from our arrival. That was very nice.

We enjoyed our short visit at The Brick. Our room was on the 1st floor which was convenient and they provided a parking space for us which was extremely helpful and thoughtful. The manager is very kind and helpful with local knowledge. We ate the a nearby beef soup place and famous milkfish restaurant all within walking distance from The Brick! Great location near the River and Anping district.
Nice and big room. The service person is super friendly. Will definitely go back again
