Great location very close to transport links for city centre. Very welcoming, polite and professional staff. Great breakfast buffet, again the staff are wonderful and can't do enough to make you happy. We booked a superior room which was a large room and overall the whole hotel was very clean. Any issue with room sorted very fast (TV had stopped working, not the end of the world) overall a pleasant stay. The hotel is on the metro line into Amsterdam Centraal Station, and this takes about 35 mins one way, or for 3 euros you can get the faster train in, taking 10 mins. The tram also goes into central Amsterdam and you get to see everyday life and points of interest.
The pillows were very well worn and lumpy, they appeared to be made of chunks of foam, only 2 pillows in a double room, when housekeeping were asked we were told this was the only pillow we could have?? We managed for 3 nights though, it wasn't life threatening! The room was very sparse for a supposedly superior room. very clinical and cold in design a bit like a dentists room 🙃 Again, this wasn't really an issue, more of a personal preference, but I did feel that for the price, I could have stayed in a more luxurious place.
If you do want the bathrobes and slippers as described in the booking info, you will need to request these from reception, they aren't in the room. We only found this out through the actual Radisson app.
one receptionist named Elina, she was extremely rude. I asked for an invoice, and she kept talking to another employee while it was being printed. I then asked her to hurry, as I was in a rush. She said, "If you can wait, I'll print it for you; if you can't, I won't." What rude behavior! This seriously affected my experience at the hotel.
Employee quality
The location is excellent, just a convenient 5–8 minute walk from the station. If you’re arriving with luggage, it’s best to come via the bridge and use the lift after exiting the metro for easier access. Once at the hotel, if you need to catch a tram, you’ll have to go to the opposite side of your current location to cross the bridge. A nice touch is the complimentary water available at the reception area.
The restaurant also offers vegan options at breakfast. While the variety is somewhat limited just one- having vegan bread available with this we prepared vegetarian sandwich. Its always something is better than nothing :)
Overall, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the prime location makes this place a great choice for a comfortable stay.
I would appreciate it if, upon request, at least one dedicated vegetarian dish could be prepared for guests. Aside from this, everything else is excellent.
Self Check in und out erspart lange Wartezeiten .
Goeie prijs/kwaliteit. Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Standaard kamer was goed qua grootte.
