Hotel Celerin Telč

Even though it’s located in a UNESCO World Heritage area, the hotel in the main square was dirty and extremely dark. It was completely different from what I saw in the photos. There was no shower curtain, so I had to sit and wash myself carefully. A high school student working part-time during the summer — who had only been on the job for three days — didn’t seem to know anything properly. There wasn’t even a basic city map available, something you’d expect at any hotel. When I went down for breakfast, I was led to a basement that felt more like a wine cellar. The serving dishes were empty, and the guests were just looking at each other in disbelief. In my 40 years of traveling, this hotel in Telč, Czech Republic, was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.

Hotel in a historic building, rooms need to respect that. Room was clean and well equipped. Breakfast ok.

The hotel is at the edge of the scenic Telc square. Our room nr. 10 was on the top floor. A window could not be opened, out of the two. In the bathroom, had no drain on the floor, so the water of the shower could only remain on the floor. It was slippery for a few hours. We paid 160 Euros for one night, which is wasn't definitevly overprised.
It is definitely overprised.

Der Empfang war alles andere als freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war in einem mittleren Zustand. Das Badezimmer war sehr alt mit Duschvorhängen, gruselig.
Das Frühstück war mittelmässig.
Ich würde diese Hotel auf Ihrer Web Seite nicht mehr empfehlen.

Not at all what was advertised on the photos for the deluxe room. Right in the centre. Friendly and kind staff.

A lovely old building, with updated facilities, as well as a covered parking area for bicycles. The location was right in the town square and easy access to shops and restaurants. The breakfast was good.

Opholdet var helt fint, men vi endte med at betale to gange for opholdet!

Ein netter Wirt, aber im Zimmer gab es sehr viel Ungeziefer.

Perfect place to spend a night. The place is super clean and very well taken care of. The manager is wonderful and super helpful. Tasty bakery downstairs. Breakfast was simple but delicious! Highly recommend!

Good location where face the square. Reception is not stationed always. have to check-in by online and pick up key at cake shop of front.

There was no one in reception to check in. The reception door was locked. We kept checking back and finally housekeeping let us in. We never ‘officially’ checked in until we left after breakfast the next morning.

Klein hotel met 8 kamers, op het centrale plein. Ligging zeer goed. Aardig personeel. Ook heerlijke taartjes bij bijbehorend koffiecafeetje.

What a wonderful welcome, absolutely excellent friendly service. Fabulous view of the square to watch the sunset, lovely garden for breakfast. It was a last minute booking but couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome 👌

Great location on the main square, friendly and welcoming staff. Room facilitied a bit basic though, but OK.

I booked a room for weekend on Booking.com. Few days before arrival I got a text message that hotel is cancelling my reservation for some reason. They haven't changed anything in reservation on Booking.com, did not reply any of emails and Booking themselves also were unable to contact this place for few days.

Great location, right in the town square. Hotel staff very helpful with any questions. Room 9 was great. Very spacious and a view looking out over the square. Breakfast was exceptional with a variety of cold and hot items.

We had two rooms that were very spacious. Centre of town. Would highly recommend.
