I liked the classic colonial look of the place which made it look very homely and comfortable compared with the sterile steel - glass - brushed aluminum - marble hard look.
The location was a little out of the way which makes it a little awkward to get transport. Tuk drivers are always opportunistic, and lazy and either want to rip you off or can’t be bothered taking you anywhere. But the hotel staff are helpful in this regard.
New hotel, but elegant and hints of French Colonial architecture. Everything works..ac, great shower, bed brilliant etc. Nice breakfast.
Really good location
The room is so much smaller than the images listed in the photos.
Very friendly and understanding staff, even if you arrive a day late! Breakfast is good. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated in traditional style. Modern appliances. Very good value for money.
The place near to go around the town
every things I had experiences were good but the breakfast was something happened. it was come up with congee ,some fruit and a lice of bread which was cold . it was not worthy with the prices. but the room and location is good .staffs were friendly and helpful.
Well located but, contrary to advertised, not much English is spoken (luckily, the owner's daughter was home from Uni and spoke English very well). The tv didn't work which (for a solo traveller) was disappointing. The breakfast was a bit scant but okay.
26/1/2024-27/1/2024. We were literally at the hotel for 7-8 hours. We arrived from the airport to the hotel after midnight, and left the hotel for the train station at 8:30am.
We purposely booked the location of this hotel as it is quite close to the train station and we had an early train to catch in the morning.
The rooms are quite spacious, with a decent sized bed, big bathroom with bath and shower.
The shower pressure and temperature is very good.
Everything in the room seemed very clean and well kept. The area is very quiet and the room seemed to be sound proof. We didn’t hear and outside disturbance noise once in the room.
The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The breakfast was good enough. Nothing to write home about but good enough for a quick bite to eat before leaving.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for the purpose of going to Vientiane train station.
If we had to be really picky:
The decor in the room was old fashioned.
The lighting in the room was quite dim.
The staff english levels were low. (I’m not taking anything away from the staff. They’re extremely friendly and want to help you, yet communication can be a struggle. Tip: get a translator on your phone.)
Old French Colonial style hotel charm. Hotel staff was kind and helpful. Stay was okay. Hotel is next to a school so noisy during the day, dogs barking at night if you are on non-city view room. Hotel restaurant is only open for breakfast and breakfast is not a buffet style. Three choices from their menu. Note: This hotel does not have any rooms with "2 bedrooms." Two beds, but not two bedrooms as advertised.
Sehr freundliches Personal
the front desk staff was very helpful a girl called Meaw, good English and very happy to help. a big thank you 🙏
Strictly only Laos food , no options for foreigners, no exchange currency point , zero other facilities .
Nice clean and old fashion hotel. Rooms are locked using a key, old fashioned-LOVE IT! Recommended if staying in Vientiane.
