I made reservations for this hotel online via wyndhamhotels.com on May 13, 2026 for a check-in date of June 6, 2026. Upon arrival for check-in at ~6:30 pm on June 6th, the front desk representative had difficulties finding my reservations. I offered to show her my reservation confirmation email, but she said it would not be helpful. According to what she said, there was some apparent glitch with the online reservations system.
After about 30 minutes, she was finally able to secure a room for me. I was a bit disappointed that this mishap happened because I was very tired from my travels that day and wanted to simply go and rest immediately after check in; I was definitely not expecting this type of delay and mixup with their online system.
The room was clean and smelled fresh. The modernized style bathroom was wonderful and the water pressure was perfect. The bed was firm but very comfortable. There was an iron and ironing board in the room, which was very convenient.
This hotel is in an ideal and convenient location. It is in the heart of the old town and is in walkable distance to most places in the area. Other than the hiccup during the check-in process, I had an enjoyable stay.
This is absolutely the perfect hotel for tourists and provided service and quality accommodation which greatly exceeded all reasonable expectations.
We go for the best hotels we can find in historic centres and UNESCO sites all over the world, regardless of cost as we normally expect to pay a premium for the privilege.. but not here. I was slightly concerned prior to arrive because it was so inexpensive... however the location was unbeatable.
The owners have refurbished to an exceptionally high standard.
We had suite 320 on the third floor and two very large bedrooms on the first and second floors, probably junior suites. All of our rooms were quiet.
The bathrooms would not be out of place in a five-star luxury hotel anywhere in Europe or the USA costing circa $2000 per night just for a room.
We were particularly impressed with the comfortable, free-standing baths, the showers, the shower pressure and the attention to detail as well as the quality of the extremely well-positioned sets of shampo/conditionet/shower gel (see photos)
They don't have a Concierge desk, however, they have something even better. Mr BŁAŻEJ ŻAK who is their excellant Guest Relations Manager was a first-class communicator in the days before our arrival and arranged our transfers to and from the airport with an excellent vehicle and driver who was able to park right by the hotel. Ubers and normal taxis are not allowed into the historic centre. During our four day stay I noticed so many people pushing luggage around to and from hotels within the historic centre but we did not have to do that.
There is a Starbucks moments from the hotel. We would go for coffee in the mornings before setting off each day. We were only a couple of minutes from the main market square which is up there with St Marks Square in Venice for sheer beauty and atmosphere.
We don't normally bother with carriage rides however we simply had to take a carriage ride in Krakow as everything about them, the white carriages, the beautiful horses were exceptional. The Wyndham Grand is central to everything.
Mr BŁAŻEJ ŻAK also provided helpful advice throughout our stay when it came to places we wanted to visit. He did everything that a first class Concierge could do and more.
Reception always answered the telephone within just a few rings when you dial 500 from the rooms. Everybody was extremely friendly and welcoming and Kate, the head receptionist (see photo) has an exceptional team working under her. They were all lovely.
There is a pool and a spa which provided me with a good massage treatment. There is a small gym and a decent pool.
We particularly enjoyed their first-floor terrace, sipping apparel spritz's while watching the world go by.
I can't ever recall being in such a well-kept city, no rubbish anywhere, (or horse poo.. they clean it up with a brush and shovel the moment it happens!)
Everyone was polite, apart from some of the tourists, Traffic always stops as you approach a pedestrian crossing before you even put a foot on it, that is a first! No one drinking or eating in the streets. In fact everywhere we visited was as well-kept as the hotel, which was immaculate.
From the moment of arrival when the welcoming porter took over our luggage to the moment of departure, all was perfection.
I have met many Polish people in the UK over the years, always very pleasant. On what was our first visit to Poland? I didn’t expect anything as good as this. Krakow is a ‘Must Visit’ destination and THIS l the hotel highly recommend which is a short strole to everything.
The hotel’s location is just so good that I would say that the Wyndham Grand is unbeatable for the perfect tourist experience.
We did a considerable amount of research before choosing this hotel, even though I was slightly sceptical...but only because, for an historic, brilliantly positioned newly renovated boutique hotel, I'm used to paying so much more for the accommodation. This hotel is surprisingly inexpensive and offers exceptional value.

אין לובי וזה חסר
We had two rooms for two nights. The beds are painfully hard to the point my husband slept on the couch and my neck is killing me. To wind down we like to have a family movie but the tvs are old and not working. It’s stay there is You Tube, there isn’t and you can’t cast. It is 2026 and this Wyndham is lacking modern convenience despite advertising. Also nothing in English at all on TV - there is supposed to be one channel accosting to the desk - but when we click it the tv shuts off. It happens in both rooms so it’s not a one-off. If you have a family find a different hotel. I can’t imagine this would be a good place for kids. Also, our bathroom is so small. Like it was an after thought built into the room. The desk said it’s an “old” room but the new room smelled like feet and was stuffy. There is no ventilation, the shower drain is broken and the towel warmer is filthy doesn’t even have a plug to plug in. Why have these things if there is no functionality? The spa is nice but it’s not worth the rest of the room not working. Also, in order to have AC they have to control it from the front desk. Unhappy given we have two rooms and neither have been comfortable.
מיקום נהדר. חדר מזמין. ביום האחרון התקלקלה הטלוויזיה וגם מכונת הקפה לא עבדה....
חסר מאד לובי מזמין שלא קיים במלון.
What I loved most about this hotel was the combination of elegance, comfort, and location. The hotel felt truly luxurious, yet warm and welcoming. The beautiful swimming pool was a real highlight, allowing us to relax before and after a day of sightseeing.
The breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering a wide variety of fresh, homemade specialties rather than the usual standard options. Every morning felt like a special experience.
Its central location made it easy to explore Kraków on foot, while the hotel itself provided a peaceful and refined retreat. For us, it was the perfect balance of sightseeing and relaxation.
It is difficult to find any real faults with this hotel. The only minor point worth mentioning is that the inner courtyard is covered by a glass roof. As a result, the rooms facing the courtyard do not have the same sense of openness or fresh air as rooms with direct outdoor views. Nevertheless, this had only a very small impact on an otherwise excellent stay.
Excellent location and very comfortable rooms.
Nothing
Hotel was of a very high standard and staff were very accommodating.
Rooms were smart spacious and had everything we needed.we ate in the attached Italian restaurant and that was great as they were able to make GF pasta.
We were on a room only deal but given the weather ☔️ we decided to eat breakfast at the hotel rather than trail the streets and went for the Buffet option it was an excellent choice as so much to choose from there is something for everyone….
Only thing that let it down was my wife is Gluten intolerant ( but not GF)… they had gluten free bread on request and we asked if any GF cereal ie corn flakes etc to have with fruit 🍇… only thing they had was a bowl of dry oats 🤷🏻♂️
The Spa / Leisure facilities were excellent but had recently changed their opening time from 7am to 9am … As an early riser who likes to be up and about this was not so good especially when it was raining ☔️ outside.
But overall hotel was beautiful and I would certainly recommend it and would return.
The room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed.
It felt a bit strange that the room view was to an internal corridor.
