The staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed staying right on the water. Great view! The suite was perfect for our stay. Very clean. Gave us plenty of room and a kitchen which
Nice restaurant staff. Easy check in.
The restaurant had amazing food! The airport shuttle was super convenient and our driver provided great suggestions.
Everyone was very friendly
The property offers sizeable rooms, has an on site dining option (food was very good), and offered pickup and drop off from the local airport. It's a about a half mile to the center of Sitka which has the majority of the shopping and dining options. Overall we found the staff friendly and helpful and the pickup and drop off made Longliner Lodge a great choice for your visit to Sitka
The property manager, Ryan, was awesome. My group was in a tight spot and not even supposed to be in Sitka Alaska. He got us a great room, picked us up from the airport, gave us dinner recommendations and then dropped us off. The next day he took us to the Raptor center and picked us up. He then took us took to the boat terminal. He was very friendly and engaging.
We loved our view of the harbor from our room. It was interesting to watch the boats come and go. We were entertained and amused to watch the deck hands fillet fish efficiently and effortlessly at the end of each fishing day.
Airport shuttle service is helpful. Nice and convenient location to go to Downtown and local grocery on foot.
Room is clean and spacious.
The furniture, furnishings, bedding and mini kitchen of my comfortableVe room, number 6, were all very good. The room is starting to show some wear -- some scraped paint on some walls and an area of carpeting that is starting to buckle.
The lodge is on the working waterfront, about a 15-minute walk from the tourist attractions and a few minutes longer to the national park.
The lodge itself is quiet, but it is pretty near an intermittently traveled road and the noise carries, at least to rooms facing the road. Aaron helpfully provided a white noise machine. The drapes don't adequately cover the entire window area and are not opaque, but management says that they will be getting blackout shades.
A great lodge right on the water in beautiful Sitka Alaska. 10 double bed rooms, one studio apartment, and 4 luxurious suites. Great views of the water or mountains. Restaurant here is fantastic as well. Private dock allows you to sit on the waterfront and enjoy the scenery.
Nice hotel with good Sitka vibe.
Our room was on the main floor which was noisy at times with charter fishers on the dock outside.
The room was very spacious, clean, and right next to the Galley Restaurant/Bar. It was beautiful to watch the tide go in and out every day. The staff was very courteous and the food at the restaurant was quite good. The only reason I'm giving four stars is this, please invest in blackout curtains. Other than that everything was great and within walking distance to downtown Sitka.
Very friendly, professional, and accommodating! Highly recommend!
Great accommodations! Management goes above and beyond. Highly recommend
Lovely setting, easy access, clean, great communication & service. Perfect!
Beautiful views, spacious room and bathroom and staff were friendly and timely in responses to questions.
The building is nice, well kept, and clean. Right on the water with a dock. The ground floor was convenient, but it looked like some of the higher floors facing the water would've had a great view. But mostly, the staff was about the nicest and most helpful I've ever experienced at a hotel. I can't say enough good things about them.
The building could use some freshening up but overall it was a great experience. The location was very convenient to downtown shopping and the views of the water were breathtaking in the evening. Plenty of room for people to sleep and hangout. Would definitely recommend.
We enjoyed being in Sitka for 3 days during our Alaska vacation. The Longliner Lodge was a great place to stay! The location has a beautiful view out the Sitka Channel. Our room had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. Everything worked as expected. Staff was very friendly. Manager/co-owner?(Kevin) was especially helpful and friendly. Our visit was after the end of the normal Alaska travel season and the restaurant had closed the week before we arrived. There are several nice places to eat a short walk away though and it's an easy walk to many of the attractions as well. If we return to Sitka we will definitely stay at the Longliner again.
Great place! Definitely plan on returning. Beds were comfortable, theres a fridge, sink, keurig, Dish tv plus streaming services if you have your own sign in. My room had a view of the water which I loved. Limited parking but wasn't a problem for me since it was off-season. Easy to get to, close to Downtown, AC Store, and gas station nearby. Very friendly staff. 10/10.
