It’s was a great stay.
Pros:

Where it’s located is Awesome!!!! The Golden Belt of downtown Chicago!

Cons:

At times there was trash on the lobby floor. The entrance of the hotel lobby is the first thing you see entering in to the hotel.

Nice hotel!
Pros:

The pool and room.

Cons:

The pool area had a section closed on a day like the Fourth of July, when many families are expected to visit. Because of that, my partner and I couldn’t find any chairs. We kept coming back every hour, but it remained completely full. Eventually, some guests decided to open the closed section, and honestly, I don’t blame them.

Later, there was an argument between an older woman and the father of some children who kept jumping into the pool and splashing water everywhere. I understand the woman’s frustration because people’s drinks were getting splashed, but I also understand the father since kids will be kids. However, he should have made sure they followed the rules. There was a clearly posted sign saying not to jump into the pool, and it’s a small pool, especially when it’s crowded on a holiday like the Fourth of July.

I also had $100 in resort credits ($50 per person), but no one mentioned them during check-in. I was later told that I could only use them the following morning for breakfast. In my opinion, if they’re offered as resort credits, they should be available to use as soon as you check in, not limited to breakfast the next day.

Decent hotel for the price
Pros:

The rooms were comfortable and clean and I like the location

Cons:

The rooftop pool was kinda gross and seemed dirty. There were not enough towels for everyone and no staff working. I thought it would be a better vibe.

Loved the hotel.
Pros:

Amazing location, room was great, very clean and spacious and the staff were brilliant.

Cons:

The bar wasn’t open late and the roof bar didn’t open til 5. Showers weren’t easy to regulate temperature

Great, but need gym addressed
Pros:

Everything great but one real issue, gym needs to open earlier. Especially with being in central time zone, more meetings are earlier on EST time, and 6am is way too late for business travelers. Gyms should be 24/7. In this case 5am will work. 6am too late

A beautiful hotel in the best location
Pros:

The location, the room, the atmosphere and the event space and service were all exceptional. I can’t wait to return. In a city filled with pretty average hotel rooms, Viceroy was a highlight.
