Athenian Riviera Hotel & Suites

We were invited to a wedding at Lake Vouliagmeni and were looking for a hotel nearby and found Athenian Riviera Hotel & Suites. The location was perfect for transportation and walking to local beaches. A short drive or cab ride could get you to restaurants, bars and shopping.
-The hotel staff was welcoming and helpful. Neofytos was at the reception desk and provided much information about the area and made several recommendations on thing to do and what type of deserts should be had while in Greece (delicious stuff).
The staff was also able to secure a rental wheelchair for one of the people traveling with us. It was delivered and returned in the hotel.
-The rooms were spacious and clean with a balcony with chairs and a table, the bathrooms were modern and had walk-in showers.
-The breakfast buffet had many items to choose from. All of the food was well prepared and fresh including eggs, toast, vegetables, various meats, nuts, cereals, yogurts and other items. The coffee at the bar which is additional charge is far better than the coffee included with the buffet.
- The hotel restaurant had some great meal choices of fish, pasta and meat. Our server Christina made several excellent recommendations and the drinks prepared at the bar were very good.
- The hotel has comfortable outdoor seating on a patio and an inviting pool
I would highly recommend this hotel if you were planning on visiting the area.

The hotel is wonderfully located right next to the beach with many restaurants nearby and the marina not far. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Spacious family room. The only thing I would recommend is offering complimentary mineral water in the rooms

The rooms are clean, and the staff are soooo kind and always helpful!

The staff were superb. Special mention about Christina and the gentleman on reception morning of 12 October (sorry didn’t get his name), both were excellent, knowledgable, professional, courteous and nothing was too much trouble.
The staff at the hotel are the greatest asset.
One suggestion - drawer(s) are needed in the rooms.

Overpriced for what we got. Our room was small and the bathroom was tiny. We complained and they did move us to a larger room with more space. They charged us for things we never purchased like coffees.

We had an amazing stay at the Athenian Riviera Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and cared for — always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. Our room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and a balcony that opened to stunning views.

Breakfast was excellent every morning, with a great variety of fresh, high-quality food. The pool area was clean and relaxing, perfect for unwinding after exploring the city and nearby beaches. The location is ideal — peaceful yet close enough to restaurants, cafes, and the sea.

What really stood out to us was the attention to detail and the warm hospitality. Everything felt personal and genuine, making the whole experience memorable. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Athens or the Riviera area — we can’t wait to come back!

The Athenian Riviera is a wonderful, small to medium size hotel with all the comforts and features of a much larger hotel. The rooms there are good-sized, with very nice bathrooms. Our room also came with a very large, private balcony/deck. The rooms, lobby, restaurant & bar, and pool patio were all immaculate.
This nice, quiet hotel is tucked-away in a very safe, upscale neighborhood of condos, homes, and a few other similar hotels. It is an easy 2 or 3 blocks walk to Vouliagmeni Beach. If you want to explore a bit. there is a bus stop only a block away. You can ride the bus all along the "Riviera" coast or take it back up to Athens. (Taxis are readily available as well.)
The best kept secret has got to be their restaurant. The best ever! The breakfast buffet had something for everyone. We could have eaten there three times a day. From bacon, eggs, yogurt, lunch meats, breads, olives and other local fruits, to fresh juices and tasty pastries, they offered it all. The lunch and dinner menus, although not extensive, had plenty to choose from. We just wish we could have tried it all! Truly fine Greek cuisine and everything done to perfection. (I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!)
Finally, I must say that the entire staff was amazing! Everyone there went out of their way to ensure our comfort, pleasure and satisfaction. (They all speak English, too.) They made us feel like guests of honor. Anything you want or need, just ask. We were very well cared for and pampered. Can't wait to get back there!

Tip: If traveling there by taxi (be it from the airport, the cruise ship docks in Piraeus, downtown Athens, or wherever, do take advantage of the hotel's taxi booking service. It is fee-free and they have very good, contracted set rates with the taxis. This is by far the easiest and stress-free way to taxi there.

This hotel is officially only a four star but they have five star staff! From the front desk to the wait staff, they were very attentive and friendly. The front desk staff are like concierge’s, taking care of all appointments. They were able to facilitate a couple of last minute requests for manicure and pedicure and make up and hair. Massage was really good in a nice cozy space downstairs.
The rooms were clean and large.
The pool was really nice and we loved longing around the pool in the quiet neighborhood in Vouliagmeni.
Great and abundant breakfast, and very good food at lunch time too. Highly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful hotel, look no further and book. Location is short, pleasant walk to the beach and the property is maintained and laid out perfectly. The staff are so kind and helpful, I’ve only experienced similar hospitality in Switzerland.

Great place to stay if your in town for a few days and want to stay away from city center. It’s a short walk from the beach club attached to the four seasons which is as good as any in the chill Greek islands.

The staff was most attentive and helpful, and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The food and drinks were fantastic. The lobby was a joy, and the breakfast was the perfect way to start the day!
