We landed at DFW after a 13 hour flight from Brisbane. We got to the hotel at 9am hoping to leave our suitcases and come back at 3pm to check in. Amazingly, we were allowed in our rooms straight away which was much needed with the jet lag!

We stayed at AC hotel in December 2025 and had an unfortunately poor experience. We booked a two queen bed room for a two night stay. The front desk worker was on the phone multiple times seemingly taking personal calls (referring to someone as “Daddy” over the phone) while we waited to be helped. When we did receive assistance, the first room that we were assigned— room 908– had a strong sewage smell throughout the room. The shower water especially smelled very strongly of sewage. It was so unbearable that I requested a room change. The front desk was accommodating and gave me a second room—room 809. Room 809 unfortunately had multiple bugs—both dead and alive—in the bed, pillows, night stand, and floor. Upon showing photos/ videos to the front desk, concerned that they may be bed bugs, an employee casually commented that, “they looked as if they could be fleas.” We do not own pets, nor have we been around any animals, really ever. We were again given a third room, which was alright, but had some questionable cleanliness upon arrival, with hair in the bathroom sink and a suspicious brown stain on the bathroom wall. We have requested a refund for our inconvenience and are awaiting a response from management. With the multiple issues that we have faced, I am disappointed that this option was not offered to us before we requested. Overall a poor experience. We would not stay here again.
