Cosmopolitan Hotel

Zicht op zee, maar niet bij het strand zelf, wel op wandelafstand. Mooi zwembad, alles prima.

Everything was good from A to Z. Since the arrival everyone was very nice, helpful and polite. I receive a free upgrade of the room (without asking for it) and a lot of free gifts during staying there (free ice cream or free drinks) They are offering you free towels if you go to the beach (10 min walking to the hotel in straight line). Additionally, the food from the restaurant is very delicious and i tried almost the entire menu. The price on the restaurant is very fair and decent for a 4 star hotel. The pool is very nice and starting from 0,5 m (for small children) and going up to 1,5 m. The personal(ladies from receptions, the team from restaurant and bar) is very helpful and polite, jumping immediately to help you (thank you Nikos for the nice experience during our staying). Cleaning is made daily and very fast (while we were taking the breakfast the cleaning ladies were solving the room). Last but not least, Dinos (the owner) was daily there assuring that everything is going well and solving any small issue (i had i request to fix a potential issue regarding a nest of wasps and in short time he fix it). So overall excellent holyday on the Cosmopolitan Hotel and i left with the wish to go back next year.

Buona la posizione, lontano dal caos del paese con ampia possibilità di parcheggio pubblico (per la zona é un plus importante in alta stagione).
Stanze un po’ sacrificate (per 4 persone), con divano letto non proprio comodo.
Dotazione complessiva della stanza sufficiente.
Colazione discreta, salvo il reparto frutta fresca davvero ottimo.
Ampio spazio per rilassarsi adiacente alla piscina che però andrebbe tenuta un po’ meglio.

Hôtel qui présente des points plutôt positifs. Le personnel et le service sont très bien. La localisation, un peu à l’extérieur de la ville et à quelques centaines de mètres de la plage est un plus pour des vacances tranquilles. La piscine, malgré la proximité de la route est bien aménagée et calme. Toutes les commodités sont accessibles à pied.
Prêt de serviettes pour la piscine. Les en-cas restent très abordables en terme de prix
Quelques axes d’amélioration : pour un 4* en plus de la bouilloire dans la chambre, des dosettes de café et du thé seraient les bienvenus. Il n’y avait pas de bouteille d’eau à l’arrivée. Il n’y a pas de vanity kit, ni boîte de mouchoirs dans la chambre.
L’isolation phonique couloir chambré est trop faible.
Le petit déjeuner est bien, relativement varié. Le salé est assez « gras » , beaucoup de choses « fried «  Le jus d’orange est industriel, c’est un peu dommage.
La localisation est top pour des randonnées au Mont Olympe et environs.
L’hôtel reste un bon compromis pour des vacances mer/ montagne.

Great location, clean room, the breakfast buffet options were great as well. We enjoyed staying at the Cosmopolitan hotel and definitely recommend it. We generally did not like the beach options nearby, but that has nothing to do with the hotel. Beaches nearby were dirty and the beach bar music was very loud everywhere.

If you’re visiting Katerini, I highly recommend the Cosmopolitan Hotel. The staff are super friendly, it’s very close to the beach, and the pool and spa area are really relaxing. It’s the perfect place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Everything is great! Wonderful hotel and beautiful rooms.
Close location to the beach.
We were accommodated in a room with a wonderful view of the pool and the sea.
Quality breakfast, Swimming pool was clean. Great, helpful and frendly staff, especially the menager Dino was helpful and pleasant.

The room is great , with great toilet and shower, the bed is comfortable. The restoraunt is with great view at the pool, abd the food is various and tasty. The spa is small but perfect, with pool and 2 sauna. The staff are kind and amazing. Parking always available, and the beach is 100m away.

Πολύ καλό ξενοδοχείο με εξαιρετικά φιλικό προσωπικό σε όλα τα πόστα! Το δωμάτιο (superior, θέα στη θάλασσα) ανταποκρινόταν ακριβώς στις φωτογραφίες και την περιγραφή. Οι εγκαταστάσεις του σπα ήταν αξιοπρεπέστατες. Το μόνο που δεν ταίριαζε με το ύφος του καταλύματος ήταν το πρωινό, με εμφανώς χαμηλή ποιότητα στα υλικά που χρησιμοποιούνταν· χρειάζεται επειγόντως βελτίωση. Αντιθέτως, ό,τι δοκιμάσαμε από την κουζίνα à la carte, ήταν φρέσκο και νόστιμο.

Alles in allem eine gute Erfahrung.
Leider klappte die Klimaanlage im Zimmer nicht und konnte auch nicht während unseres Aufenthaltes in Gang gebracht werden.

My name is Maria Zabunova and in August 2023 I was a guest in this wonderful hotel for the fifth time. Every time we are satisfied, and this year even more so with the kind attitude towards the guests, the cleanliness (every day the rooms are cleaned) and the very tasty food. The pool is clean. There is also live music that does not disturb the guests of the hotel. The beach is very close. An ideal place for a family vacation

This hotel ruined my trip,room was very small and not cleaned well
The staff were very rude and went through my stuff ,The towels were dirty and were obiviously not washed.My room was never cleaned correctly at The start, only once I started complaing to The manager did they start to clean at a acceptable level

Simply put - a fantastic holiday experience! The hotel is very clean, the staff is amazing - always polite and smiling, ready to help when needed. I loved the back yard with the pool and with lots of room for my child to play. The food is delicious - we had a buffet breakfast and buffet dinner - always fresh, with a variety of foods to choose from. Also, I loved that the hotel is not in the city centre but on the outskirts (~1.5km away) which made my vacation an actual relaxing holiday. The beach is also quite close (~200m away).

We were really pleased with our week' s stay at Hotel Cosmopolitan. Despite arriving past midnight, we were met with a warm and genuine welcome and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful throughout our stay. We were pleased to have found a hotel ( and area) where Greeks themselves holiday- in fact I think we were the only British couple at the hotel at the time.

The hotel has a lovely design to it , it stands out as being something special in the area and lives up to its pictures, we enjoyed eating on the balcony each morning and evening.
The hotel is kept very clean, the pool was never crowded, the food was good and plentiful. The hotel is set back from the sandy beach, a 5-10 minute walk away, but we liked that our hotel was in a quieter part of town and the short walk was not a problem for us. The hotel is close to a cross-roads ( which could do with some more clarity on right of way!) but that said, we didn't find it too noisy.

The town itself (an 8 min walk away) is nice, lively but not clubby. Tavernas, souvenir shops , bars, hotels- yes, but a family atmosphere. Unfortunately a lot of fur shops too which did not impress us. They definitely need to go.

We felt the hotel was good value and we enjoyed our week relaxing and also visiting Thessaloniki ( by train) and going on a trip to Mount Olympus.

Our only negative comment was that after 3 days it might be an idea to change the background music CD ..but they did so straight away, so all good.

If you want to see a more authentic Greece than the well known ' resorts' I would highly recommend this hotel. The warmth of the staff will always be remembered by us in particular.

Rooms, small but adequate. The cleaning service was terrible, the first days they only mopped and changed the baskets and rugs, the bathroom was dirty, the tables were dirty, they didn't replenish the soap. We didn't have hot water in our room for two days. We were told to stand in the shower and wait for it to work. Appalling behavior at the reception. Not interested.. Today they didn't clean the room at all, they don't have people. So we have smelly bins and sand everywhere. At the reception? Again no interest. Today the water also stopped working completely, we wanted to take a shower, without success. The lady at the reception did not believe that the water was not running and was not interested in solving it. She rolled her eyes at us. We complained to the representative, she called the lady at the reception and told her that the water was not going anywhere. She lied. The other floors had water. This is appalling behavior, don't come here! Never again. Waste of money.

We went with my wife for a single night stay. We booked a room with breakfast and dinner. Breakfast and dinner buffet were good but very low variety. I expected more from a 4 star hotel. After dinner, around 8, the room AC was working with low power. Room temp was 27oC according to thermostat. It was just bearable. We went to sleep around 12:30 but woke up an hour later because of the heat in the room. I lowered the temp but read a sign that AC should be controlled only by hotel staff only. I called the receptionist, which came, changed the thermostat and left. The airflow was faster after that but it was not cool air. Like a fan during heat. The temp was 28oC. We thought it was fixed and tried to sleep again. We woke at 4 o clock and we were sweating. The temp was 28.5. The receptionist came with another man and they agreed that the AC had a problem. The 2nd man suggested to open the windows because it was "chill" outside. We said this is unacceptable and demanded another room with working AC. Receptionist agreed immediately and we changed rooms. New room was at 29oC at the time but the AC air was cool. We waited for an hour the room to cool and slept from 5 to 9. We have no complains for the hotel staff. They were polite and helpful. The room was clean and big. If the AC was working we would give 3/5 or 4/5 because of the variety of the buffet and the hard mattresses. We only booked for a night and it was ruined. We went back home tired.

Our first visit to this area of Greece. The hotel was excellent in all respects. Room we had was a superior sea view it had great views always lovely and clean. The staff were brilliant helpful kind and very accommodating. The spa was superb the amenities and the staff. Food was great. What more can I say but fantastic. Out of ten eleven and would I go again yes.

This was our second visit to the hotel this year (please read previous review from May 2019) and I am very pleased to say that our experience this time was as good as the first time. Our welcome from everyone was great!! Our room and the food were first class. But again it is people who make this hotel shine. Customer care, helpfulness and politeness from everyone!! We were sad to leave and are planning to return again in May 2020!!
