The hotel was fantastic. - great location , staff were awesome.
There was a disco restaraunt outside our door which went until midnight 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed at the hotel.

What a beautiful room - we booked a suite and it must have had 20.ft high stone ceiling! Loved the bath in the bedroom! Amazing views from the balcony.
Breakfast in a cave was a new experience- lots of choice and delicious pastries and cakes…
Staff were lovely…all very welcoming and a very special thanks to the guys who carried our bags up/down from the Palazza - thank you

I especially liked the location of the hotel - in the Sassi but not in the midst of all of the chaos - the staff - so so kind especially Luca at the reception - and the breakfast - with many homemade goodies.
The hotel is an "albergo diffuso" and obviously there are architectural limitations in Matera but sleeping in the Sassi can feel a bit suffocating as there is not much light coming in - anyway it is an experience so I would not say it is a negative aspect.
Lage, Ausstattung, außergewöhnliches Ambiente, Frühstück in der Grotte. Der Abend ist perfekt zu genießen, wenn man an der Wegmauer sein Abendessen einnimmt. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen. Rundum gehobene Klasse

Air conditioning was inadequate in the bedroom
Somente a cama e o chuveiro.
O ar condicionado é controlado na recepção e não dentro do quarto. Pedi uma temperatura de 20 graus e não fui atendida. Durante a noite o ar condicionado é desligado e por isso não conseguimos dormir. O café da manhã não é condizente com a categoria e preço que o hotel se auto intitula. Um suco de laranja espremido e um ovo frito simples sao cobrados à parte. Minha filha ficou em outro quarto com o mesmo problema do ar , e no caso dela pior porque o quarto era térreo, a porta abre diretamente para rua, sem nenhuma privacidade, não podia nem abrir a porta para entrar um ar que as pessoas ficam olhando e tirando fotos de dentro.

La ubicación, el desayuno y la vista excepcional. Pedimos una suite deluxe divina!
Al minibar le faltaba… Poco personal, nos dijeron que tenían room service y un día de semana a las 17 hs no tenían cocinero. Los servicios ofrecidos por el hotel, bastantes caros. Nos quisieron cobrar 120 euros el laundry de 10 prendas de ropa. Pese a ello el lugar es hermoso, limpio y parece un palacio. El desayuno muy completo también!
