Staff kindness, level of service, willingness to help, availability was superb, I don't recall a better level of service. The owners showed up every morning during breakfast to greet the guests. Guiseppe and Anne where always available and willing to help, there was never a no for an answer or not a solution. Mr Ponte (owner) made himself available for us to work out an errand we had to run in the local "Commune". Honestly this is a must place to stay if you want to spend your holidays in a place where you will not need to worry about anything and you will be treated as family. These people really care about their guests. A true gem in Matera.
If I want to be picky, a mirror in the room (not only in the bathroom) would have been helpful for my wife, but everything was great!

Everything. The hotel’s architecture is the classic Sassi di Matera cave, it even has a cistern you can visit in the basement. Anna and the staff are extremely kind and warm, they make you feel welcomed and they go above and beyond for anything you need. Anna got me a taxi with a very last minute notice. The breakfast is perfect, and so is the location.

Comfy beds and great showers - Annaluce and Giuseppe were so kind and helpful, the breakfast was in a lovely room with live piano music and a charming hostess. The food was outstanding and the staff were delightful- we had a lovely lovely stay !
