My favorite place to stay in Aqaba, the place is quiet, clean, comfortable and close to the sea. Hotel owners are amazing people, very hospitable and friendly.

My stay at Southern Star Club was nothing short of amazing! It has quickly become my favorite. A huge shoutout to the owner, Amer, whose incredible hospitality and delicious, homemade breakfasts truly made our stay there a special one!

This hotel offers a peaceful retreat in a quiet location, yet it's perfectly positioned near Southern Beach and Tala Bay. We loved being within walking distance of Japanese Garden Beach and Bernice Beach. For anyone visiting Aqaba for diving or snorkeling, this hotel is an ideal base. The property features a large, beautiful pool and a nice shared terrace with BBQ facilities.

The property offers both regular rooms and rooms offering kitchenettes, in addition to its impeccable cleanliness. We thoroughly enjoyed my time here!

During my stay at Southern Star Club Hotel, I had an extremely disappointing experience. Upon check-in, the toilet in our room wasn’t flushing properly. I reported it to a staff member, who provided a plunger. Despite my efforts to fix it, the issue persisted. Before leaving for dinner, I informed staff again, requesting it be addressed while we were out.
At 4:30 AM, the toilet became completely unusable. Staff returned and spent nearly an hour using a hose both inside and outside the room, but the problem remained unresolved. We were forced to use the shower for basic needs and rely on a separate bathroom for other necessities, creating an unsanitary and deeply uncomfortable situation.
When I requested a refund for the severe inconvenience, the owner accused us of causing the damage to the toilet. Hours after we had already checked out, she sent a photograph of intact toilet paper as evidence. The image was inconsistent with materials that had gone through a sewer line, raising serious doubts about the validity of their claim and the hotel’s honesty.
Despite multiple attempts to address the issue respectfully, owner refused to issue a refund and continued to place unjust blame on us.
This experience was not only unacceptable and unsanitary but also a reflection of dishonest and unprofessional business practices. I strongly advise against staying at Southern Star Club Hotel to avoid similar treatment, lack of accountability, and disregard for basic guest comfort and respect.

We had a lovely stay. We were welcomed and able to check in to our room early. We were given excellent recommendations by Amer of where to go snorkelling and he took my partner out diving. Perfect stay for a couple. The pools are 5m and 2m deep so would not be good for children but I had a lovely swim. Was very relaxing. We had a car so could easily drive in to Aqaba for dinner in 10-15 mins. Would recommend to couples who want to do some snorkelling/diving

Toller Pool, schöne kleine Anlage, gutes Frühstück. Internet hat bei mir nicht funktioniert. Bei meinem Mann schon.

Nice place to stay to enjoy the beach and diving outside of the city. Better to have a car

SCUBA DIVING SCAM! Stayed here a few weeks ago and while the accommodation is adequate (not great), the owner is a fraud. Convinced me to pay for the PADI scuba diving course saying that it would make getting a fully open water course cheaper. He said he would fill out the forms and I should receive an email a few days later, however I never received that email and have contacted him since, but he kept saying he was busy and yet to fill out the forms. If I could give zero stars I would. Should have read the previous reviews (on Google) before agreeing to pay. He also operates cash only, meaning we have no record of payment!

Tout était parfait ! : Nos hôtes adorables, Amer instructeur de plongée bouteille a initié les enfants et les a emmenés dans des endroits magnifiques, petit déjeuner varié et délicieux (oeufs, gaufres, gâteaux, toasts etc).
La piscine est énorme et le lieu est très contemporain et bien entretenu...😍👍

Beautiful, quiet setting and very welcoming friendly, helpful staff.
About a twenty minute drive out of Aqaba, close to the beach. Nothing else really around apart from Dive Centres.
Room was large, with a fridge. Separate toilet and shower.
We found the mattress on the bed hard and uncomfortable.
You really need your own transport to get here and around Aqaba.

A unique gem. Simple, affordable accomodations with amazing view, beautiful pool and grounds. The hosts were extremely hospitable, very attentive and accomodating. They made us feel welcomed and cared for. They even made us a wonderful dinner when we arrived hungry and tired from our travels. They also served a wonderful breakfast. We would love to go back and spend more time.

Great rooms and amazingly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend over staying in big resort or in Aqaba town.
