The view from this property is absolutely gorgeous, and the people are really friendly, will definitely be back
This was a beautiful place to stay. We loved our bungalow and the setting. The only negative is that it is so remote and hard to get anywhere. It would be so helpful if there was some shuttle service available into town.
Very beautiful place surrounded by mountains. Peaceful, dint feel like leaving. The staff is awesome, very kind.
Staff were so accommodating and helpful. Naysha from reception organised last minute trips/activities/bus tickets to Machu Picchu, nothing was a problem. Alejandro organised pick up for us from Cusco to the hotel. Beautiful setting surrounded by mountains, alpacas on site, beautiful rustic decor like an hacienda, games room had billiards/chess/poker tables and lots of games. Food was delicious, bungalow where we stayed was incredibly comfy and clean with a jacuzzi!
The room is equipped with mounted heaters and functional hot water showers. The wifi coverage is strong and quick speed. Do note that the outdoor walkways to the rooms are sheltered, so it might be cold for a brief seconds to get to the concierge. The blaring horns from the Peruvian Railway can be heard in the room occasionally throughout the day.
Beautiful, peaceful, nice place to stay. Friendly staff. We really enjoyed it. We visited Machu Pichu
And areas around the Sacred Valley. Highly recommend this place if you have transportation or can arrange it. The hotel might be able to help with that. We rented a car.
Beautiful place. Amazing views. We stayed only night there but we definitely want to go back.
Fabian the chef and Lourdes were very attentive with us. We have a lovely stay. We really recomend this place. It is a little bit far from Ollantaytambo, but the ride there is 200% worth it.
I felt like I was in the Eagle's song, Hotel California - but without the menace. This place is just intoxicating, Set in a quiet field surrounded by crops, mountains and the Urubamba river, this beautifully designed lodge was a perfect counterpoint to the crowds and bustle of Ollantaytambo. For those wishing to visit town, the hotel provides a shuttle service (I do not recall what, if anything they charge for this). It is a short, pleasant drive. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The beds were extremely comfortable. The place was spotless. I had not relaxed so fully nor slept so well in a long time.
This is a beautiful and charming hotel. The staff are gracious and accommodating, the rooms lovely and spacious, and the location has fantastic views of the mountain ranges and Sacred Valley area around Ollantaytambo. We rode the bikes they provide along the road which follows the train tracks towards Machu Picchu.
It is important to understand that the hotel is 20 minutes outside Ollantaytambo by car. (The hotel has a van and can provide transport.). We arrived after a long international flight and car ride and ate in while there. (The food was very good.) We slept deeply. It was the perfect place to start our multisport trip. We loved it!!
It was quiet and I felt safe. A great value for the cost.
The Del Pilar Ollantaytambo hotel is a true gem: we were staying in one of the tastefully furnished bungalows with its own jacuzzi, and the views of the surrounding mountains was just stunning. The hotel staff is simply lovely and very helpful (one of us had a broken leg and they organized a wheelchair and helped us with everything) the food great (try the pisco-seasoned lomo…). Add to that the two cuddly resident alpacas and our stay was perfect.
This hotel is located just few minutes driving from main sq of Ollantaytambo, it has a cute architecture and serves very nice rooms, the yard is amazing and every thing there is memorable.
You can sit next to fire place in the lobby and enjoy even talks with your companion
Loved this slightly out of the way hotel. Beautiful settings!! Rooms excellent, staff pleasant and welcoming. Ate in the restaurant...wonderful meal. We were a party of 18 so it takes some doing to feed all of us a once. Would love to come back to relax and enjoy it's peacefulness, nestled in the valley and surrounded by mountains! Woke up to see the lawn mowing alpacas!
Del Pilar is the best hotel I've ever been to. Everything is wonderful in it: the location is amazing in its beauty, the interiors and exteriors of public buildings, and the level of service, and the standard of cleanliness, and the kitchen, and the courtesy and responsiveness of the staff. This is a wonderful place to stay in Ollantaintambo. I have not regretted a single minute of my stay here. The hotel left the best impression of itself. I plan to definitely go back there again. This place is very convenient for visiting the Ollantaintambo complex, the departure point to Machu Picchu by train, as well as for independent hiking in the Andes. This is an exceptional place with an excellent level of service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is tired of the urban environment, but at the same time does not want to lose in comfort, being in the bosom of nature. From this point of view, the Hotel Del Pilar is the best hotel in all of Peru)
The hotel was very quiet during our stay and the restaurant was very average. However, the room was comfortable and the staff were all extremely helpful. It’s a shame that the hotel wasn’t a bit busier. AA little bit far from Ollantaytambo.
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel and the staff were very helpful. However, the hotel was extremely quiet and lacked some atmosphere.
Excellent service, delicious food, idyllic surroundings. Near interesting sites such as Sacred Valley, Cuzco and surroundings, Macchu Pichu. Very nice accomodations. Cozy atmosphere and real nice stay overall.
This hotel was absolutely incredible!! The location is quiet and remote and so peaceful. The staff gets to know you right away and is so accommodating. Love, love and can’t wait to return
Amazing and relaxing! It’s a little ways away from Ollantaytambo, but worth the drive for the spectacular views and property.
I wish they were close to peru rail. I cannot find anything wrong in thus hotel.
