Very good hotel
Pros:

We liked staying at this hotel. The location was very convenient for close to the bus station because we had to take a bus in the morning. The breakfast was very good, the employees were knowledgeable and polite.

As good as it gets by Perm standards
Pros:

I stayed at this hotel while I was visiting the region on business from the 22 no to the 25th September. A hotel I have visited on more than one occasion.

Let's start with the positives:
Clean but basic rooms. Make sure you ask for a room with a double bed as some rooms only offer single beds.
Internet speed has improved sufficient for a business user.
Very good room rates especially for a western traveller.

Now the negatives.
Check in is slow.
Breakfast offering is terrible. Needs improving.

The hotel is well positioned for restaurants. Just around the corner on the main road you will find some good quality restaurants so you will not starve.

Overall an OK hotel. Just don't expect too much.

It isn OK for a day or two
Pros:

Outside view looks great. Check-in was OK but only Russian was spoken. The corridors are dark and the light comes on when you walk. Two times, I got bumped into the vacuum cleaner kept on the corridor.
Breakfast was local standard and no specific requests entertained even a bread slice and a fried egg!!!

It is ok for a very short stay. Bed width is extremely small and never fit in for oversea people!

The elevator or lift is unimaginably small and can take only two people without luggage at a time.

Nothing wonderful about stay. Beware of long waiting hours during dinner time!

Not reccommended
Pros:

To begin with , this is highly overpriced hotel. 4600 rub. for a room (sorry business room) and they even don't give you a bottle of water. Long queue at reception desk (only one attendant), poor service at restaurant. Better choose hotel for 2000 rub, at least you won't be dissapointed

Stay in UFA was woethwhile
Pros:

Its always good when your hotel is in the centre of the city and you have a language problem. I stayed in Amaks and thanks to the friendly staff I could easily go where I needed to go . I stayed in a Business class room which I think was worth its money. The restaurant was exceptionally good seeing the fact I could get all the European Kitchen for my appetite . In the evening the club was a good plus before going to sleep. I went there once and regretted why only the last day. UFA is a beautiful city and Amaks made the stay pleasurable ! Only minus if I could count would be young waitors who were a bit inexperienced ! Otherwise 8 out of 10 !

the client is not right
Pros:

very typical "Tourist" old style hotel
at breakfast morning porrige is overcooked, sound-transparent walls, sauna meets guests with a wide range condomes proposal, a bed is not served regularly, absence of cleaning in halls.
autogare is located nearby...
it is up to you to stay there for a business trip.... not for me anymore.

Average hotel
Pros:

The Hotel is not far from center, however in a isolated part, so satisfactorily quite environment. The rooms are acceptable if you can find the right room :). I stayed twice in this room and in both cases I changed the rooms for better ones. for example the last one (room 305) is quite better than others. However you might be unlucky and come accross with not fully equipped and modern decorated rooms. Anyway, for Ufa it might be an alternative, although prices are not cheap, in the condition that you are given a better room.

There's better place
Pros:

Very average hotel with shiny reception and missing basics. It’s situated far from down town but next to ugly South Bus Station and next to tram station by which you may easily reach main POI which is Salavat Youlaev monument by the river. The ride won’t excite you much either since most of the trams are barely moving old horses so to say. The superior room I’ve had was ok with nice king-size bed, balcony with ugly view, LCD TV and convenient desk. Bathroom was a good downgrade with cracked sink and water not coming out of shower cabin. Well, actually it was coming out to the floor. The toilet paper placed in a way to provide you good spinal cord spinning massage yoga style so you better take the reel off the hook and place it on the towel rack in front of you. Unlike other reviewers I’ve had a nice sleep only disturbed a couple of times by slapping doors in other rooms, but they’re made this way. Wi-Fi is declared to be there and free but all I managed is to get connected to the hotel network with no chance to get thru. Maybe I just had a bad luck. B-fast is typical for local hotels of this level, selection seems to be there but there’re very few things you would have for your morning meal. Semolina porridge was to slice not to be poured!!! Obvious lack of service as used dishes are not taken away from the tables. I never have a dinner in hotel’s restaurant but had to take this one since there’s no place to go around and I didn’t want to bother myself with another taxi or tram ride. Took what they call Biz Dinner. Nice n simple and worth what you pay with same lack of service but I was lucky up to a bill point. Didn’t manage to get it and simply left money on the table. Will try something different next time.

Go there if you have no other choice
Pros:

Been on a business trip. Standard rooms are tine. Smoking rooms are smelly. Breakfasts are ok. Don't order wine at the bars as you will get something nasty despite whatever name of the wine will be. Besides the lobby is packed with prostitutes in the evening and night.
Beds are tiny. If you go to Ufa just make sure you book taxi, hotel and flight tickets in advance as lot of people travel there on business all the time and best options are booked well in advance. Enjoy Ufa!:)

3* hotel with the lobby full of prostitutes and sigaret smoke
Pros:

It is hotel in the City centre of Ufa. It took about 40 minutes to get there from the airport. There was sleeping area around the hotel and surroundings looked very depressive and gray in autumn (November).

The noise isolation of rooms was very poor. There were some rooms on the floor which were used by prostitutes for sex and it was quite noisy in the hotel corridor.

I would not recommend it for business travelers because it is impossible to get sleep till 1 AM (because of noice). I will not go there again.

Amaks hotels in Russia are oriented for business travelers who is looking some fun during their business trips. My german colleagues got extremely intoxicated after the first night here and we canceled all business meeting next day because I did not manage even to wake them up. Horrible experience.
