Happy Elephant Bungalows

During my stay, I enjoyed the staff at the property however I didn't like the noisy guests that were staying at Happy Elephant.

Cute property with a lot of greens..very basic bungalow with terrace. The steep way of from the main road is grose. Lots of garbage next to the road and you can smell the vermin. The bungalow is open and therefore loud. Noisy neighbours and lots of birds.
When you bring your earplugs, mosquito repellent , use the mosquito net and enjoy the village and beaches (scooters recommended!), youll have a great stay! Very centrally located. Kind staff.

Den Bungalow vi boede i var meget slidt og der var åbent ud til alle steder, i loftet, gulvet og i væggene. Toilettet var klamt og ikke noget sted man havde lyst til at gå i bad. Udover det løb der mus/rotter rundt på vores værelse, da de kunne komme ind over alt. Til sidst var der larm fra dyr og fest nede på stranden

Staff was realy nice an friendly and give us a good intro. Communication was easy and good.
Room was ok but not like on the picture. But clean and in good condition, shower an AC worked well. Bed smelled a bit like mold, but not strong. There was s lot of trash in fornt of the window. Its in an area with may buildings an unfortunately a lot of trash.
In room you could here all the other guests. Wifi was not good, it break up all the time. Working online is not possible here. If you only travel its fine.

Average stay for us and the room we stayed in. The staff were friendly and they offered trips and motorbike rental they also gave us a few discount vouchers for local bars and food spots which was great. They stocked us with water everyday and fresh towels. 😄 The bed was too hard, there was sand all over the floor when we arrived which only got worse but we can’t complain too much as we are on an island. However the sink was full of ants. The location isn’t the best at the top of a hill but it did the job and it was an easy walk to koh touch.

Hintaan suhteutettuna majoitus oli täydellinen. Ainakin oma ilmastointi toimi hyvin ja huone oli niin siisti kuin tuolla hinnalla voi vain toivoa. Sijainti oli myös loistava ja rauhallinen jos haluaa majoittua sataman läheisyydessä. Ystävällinen henkilökunta ja ylipäätään kaikki toimi kuten piti. Itselläni ei ollut bungalowia vaan sellainen tavallinen kahden hengen huone.

Si vous désirez être au calme ne choisissez pas ce lieu. Bien que rudimentaire et infesté de moustiques, le confort est acceptable. Cependant les bruits la nuit ne vous laisseront pas dormir : un chien aboie régulièrement à toute heure et les autres résidents de l’hôtel, irrespectueux, ne manqueront pas de vous réveiller lorsqu’ils rentreront de soirée. Certains ne passeront qu’une nuit ici et ne seront là que pour la fête sans ce soucier de leurs voisins.
Ma suggestion : 1. imposer un règlement intérieur qui précise bien à chaque résident l’obligation de respecter le sommeil des autres après une certaine heure (cela semble évident mais forcé de constater que ça ne l’est pas pour tout le monde) 2. Demander aux propriétaires du chien de trouver une solution : en prendre soin par exemple.

Bien situé (un peu a l'écart de l'agitation). Chambre propre avec une bonne literie. Le patron est très agréable et répond à toutes vos interrogations

Cozy basic place. Nice staff!

Could not sleep the first night (Thursday). Some people talked loudly between 11:00 PM and 3:30 AM.
However the next day was quiet.

Was ok

Chambre sommaire. Présence d'insectes volatils en nombre. Fumigène chaque jour pour éradiquer. Extérieur très sales, présence d'ordures partout. Personnel et patron agréable heureusement mais le rapport qualité prix ne reste pas satisfaisant.

Decent place, bit expensive but expected for the island

La habitacion y el baño amplios y muy limpios(todos los dias lo limpaban) y todos los dias nos dejaban tambien agua y para hacernos el cafe. Todos los trabajadores muy amables y sonrientes y hay una terraza arriba donde subiamos a desayunar en la que se esta de lujo.
Calidad /precio no se puede pedir mas.
Hemos estado muuuuuy agusto! O kun!!!!

The location is good as it's very close to the beach and the restaurants.
The room was very basic which is ok considering the price. Bed sheets were dirty and the staff changed them when this was notified.
They offer motorbike renting service at $10 per day which is a great price and you can go around the island.

Brilliant place. Excellent value. Both times I stayed the I extended my stay several times. It is a bit like living in a Cambodian village, it is rustic, it is real. You're about 150 meters away from the beach, so you don't hear loud music when you want to sleep, I stayed in the cabin like rooms. They are big and it is really nice when the sun comes up.

Happy éléphant bungalows IS situated on the main Koh Touch beach as you arrive on the island. It is a step climb bit the bungalows are great, cleaned everyday and the staff IS Amazing! Great advice on what to do on the island by Sabina! Motorbike renting service for 10 bucks a day with free refueling. Thé nice thing IS that thèse bungalows are far from the noisier party atmosphère of 4K beach but close enough that should you want to party its only a 20 minutes walk! Make sure to take your phone for its flashlight though.

The owner, having no restaurant included in the hôtel, gave us 10% discount vouchers for 4 nearby restaurants which Can be reused daily. Make sure to use them as cambodia as become quite expensive.

Arriving just After raining Season out bungalow was around 22$ per day which, for three people, with a nice terrace and hammock IS great value. I have read the procès Can double or even triple during high Season though but i Guess its common on the island.

All in all i highly recommand happy éléphant bungalow and will be coming back!

When we arrived we noticed that the sink was loose, there was a huge space between the sink and the wall (my hand fit there). When I was brushing my teeth I put my hand on the sink and it fell and broke!!

The owner made us pay the value of the sink!!But when we arrive at an hotel we expect everything to be in order and we never think that the sink could fall off with just one touch.

It could have landed on my feet and caused several cuts. Fortunately it didn't happen but the owner didn't have the sensitivity to forgive us the amount of the sink when it wasn't our fault AT ALL.

When we pay for a room we expect that will be in good conditions!!!

The staff and the owner are very nice and Kind. The owner is so helpful with information that is important for new travelers to know, More importantly what to do and how to avoid any issues. Their main aim is to ensure you have a good trip. I got a simple fan room, it was clean, it was quiet and i was comfortable. I recommend this establishment. I was also in the building and not the bungalows as all bungalows on the Island are in the forest. Im not very good around bugs.
