We had a nice stay
I gave this 1 star for only one reason, but it was a pretty big reason. Heavily overpriced. I got there at 11 o clock at night, checking out the next day, and the room rate was well over $200, so barely got to even spend 12 hours in the place. If you're getting there late at night instead of right at 3 (check-in time), the rate really should be lower.

Hotel was clean and staff was good and there were plenty of food and store options close by. The only issues we had were that the walls between the room and hallway allowed all of the noise of the hallway in. If anyone is walking down the hallway talking you’re going to be hearing it. In addition the elevator makes such a loud and pretty constant bell noise every time it passes a floor that we heard that too and we were 3 rooms down from it. It was a bit annoying and should be adjusted to address the noise level for people trying to sleep in past 7am. Otherwise it was good.

We had a very mixed experience during our stay.
When we first checked in, our room keys didn’t work. After going back to the front desk, we were told that the lock on that room was broken. The staff moved us to another floor and gave us a goodie bag for the inconvenience, which we appreciated.
In the new room, however, we ran into more problems. The shower handle spun all the way around, making it unusable, and the sink faucet wasn’t attached to the base—both were broken. We notified the front desk immediately. Again, the staff was very friendly and gave us another goodie bag. They offered to send maintenance, but since we were leaving the room and didn’t want anyone in with our belongings, we declined. The front desk clerk told us to mention the issues again at checkout so management could follow up with compensation.
Unfortunately, when we checked out, the staff at the desk had no idea about the situation. They took our phone number and said the manager would reach out, but we never heard from anyone.
On the positive side, the hotel was clean, the staff we interacted with were kind and apologetic, and it seems they are making efforts to update the property. The location was convenient—about 20 minutes from the Atlantic City boardwalk.
Overall, while the staff tried to make up for the inconveniences, the repeated maintenance issues and lack of follow-through from management left us disappointed.
Absolutely enjoyed this hotel. Location is great. Nice breakfast selection. And good indoor pool. It’s not big but good especially if not too many people are inside. One thing I wish the hotel had was better outdoor seating and a fire pit would be a nice Addition. I would stay there again.

There wasn’t anything unique about the property. The facility was undergoing a renovation so we were met with wallpaper pealed off the hallway walls. Our room was very bland with one of the framed prints removed from the wall leaving the the anchors still in place. We’ve stayed at Hampton Inns before and we’re always pleased with the accommodations, so this was a disappointment. I will say that the complimentary breakfast was very good and the staff there very attentive. I don’t know if all the floors were being renovated at the same time, if not, better arrangements could have been made.
