Steep stair case, the neighborhood was noisy at night.

1. Stairs!!! It was shocking to see the stairs this high, steep and narrow!!! We planned to stay here for our last night of the trip where we can pack and move out conveniently, it turns out to be a nightmare! They would say they tried their best to inform guests beforehand but no they didn’t! The description in booking.com about the stairs is buried quite deep. If you have more than 1 small luggage and is not an able-body, DO NOT stay here!

2. The noise!!!!! Our room is facing the square and even though we didn’t expect the town to be quiet but I am talking about parties, screaming and stereo blaring sounds outside ALL NIGHT!!! If you are a light sleeper or any sleeper at all DO NOT COME!!!

3. The room is a bit run down. You can see cracks on glass, some dusty corners, the light fixtures that keeps blinking non stop and the mattress starting to lose it’s tightness so our body ached from sleeping on it.

4. Even though the location is central (good for last minute shopping) but if you plan to take taxi or uber with luggage, this location is NOT convenient. The block doesn’t allow cars to enter so after we risked our lives carry big luggages down those stairs, we will still need to haul them 2 blocks to get into a car.

Also, It’s definitely not a 4 stars hotel with the virtual concierge that cannot help you much physically with anything. I need to grab the floor towel that they forgot to put in our room by myself too.

Cleaning left all empty water bottles , rubbish near fridge in room, was obvious was for waste. Would have put in bin but bin was full.

Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet our expectations. The biggest issue was the noise. There is a bar/nightclub located directly below the hotel, and the loud bass music and vibrations were relentless. The thumping bass beat continued until approximately 4:00am on the first two nights of our stay and until 5:00am on the final two nights (weekend nights). The noise wasn't just audible—it could be felt through the room, making it nearly impossible to sleep. We tried everything to minimize the disturbance, including playing white noise on our phones and using earplugs provided by the hotel after we complained. Nothing helped. We also requested to be moved to a higher floor, hoping the noise and vibrations would be less noticeable, but were told the hotel was fully booked and there were no other rooms available. For context, we live in downtown Chicago and are accustomed to city noise at all hours. This was on an entirely different level. We were unable to get a decent night's sleep during any of the four nights of our stay because of the constant bass and vibrations.
There were other inconveniences as well. The hotel does not have a traditional front desk or lobby—check-in is handled through a virtual assistant. Access to the hotel requires climbing a very narrow, steep staircase, and there is no elevator. Getting suitcases up and down the stairs was difficult and frustrating. Given the excessive noise, lack of sleep, difficult access, and absence of basic amenities such as an elevator and staffed lobby, we do not feel the price reflects the value offered. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to travelers looking for a comfortable and restful stay.

We stayed in Room 102 above a bar where loud bass music and vibrations continued until around 4am, making it difficult to sleep. The room door rattled every time the hotel’s front door shut, which regularly woke us, and the toilet also had an unpleasant smell.

The air conditioner did not work, and you couldn't open any of the windows. Sleeping was extremely uncomfortable. We asked someone to fix it after the first night, but the second night it was the same. There is no staffed reception to do anything after hours.
