3 night stay with family and friends
Pros:

My family and friends had a very nice experience staying here for 3 nights. The staff gave us a warm welcome and the hospitality extended to all parts of our stay. The dinner staff were especially sweet with my 7 year old daughter. Our favorite part was our evening swims in the infinity pool with beverages from the Kattika bar. The breakfast and dinner spread was generous with something for everyone in our group. The rooms are spacious but could use some upgrades to maintain the 5 star feel of the rest of the property.

Outstanding ambience , luxury rooms , sumptuous food
Pros:

The Golden Crown’s concierge and reception area is a precursor to the delights that await the traveller at this delightful hotel . We stayed three nights and absolutely loved every minute here . The reception are has high ceiling and a chandelier glittering in gold framed by floor to ceiling glass walls that are aureounded by lush forestry . See picture below . Rooms are even more plush with a diwan by the foot of the bed … beautiful sit out balcony with tables . Bathrooms are wide with partitioned sections for closet and shower areas. Central wash basin and bath tub suggest spacious bathroom feeling .
The soft lighting enhances the room and we had interconnecting rooms with our teenage kids next door and that was quite nice .
I recommend pool area and infinity pool . It is surreal to swim in a pool surrounded by tall mountains in the distance and mist in the mornings . Pool bar offers a good spread .
We stayed half board . Breakfast and dinner both buffet offers Sri Lankan , North and South Indian and continental fare . Recommend Lunu Miris , string hoppers and Kiri Hothi . Sumptuous spread of desserts . Worth the room rate , and then some !
Of the four excellent hotels we stayed in in Sri Lanka , this was just pff the charts .
Service was courteous and prompt .
You are safe betting on this hotel for a luxury holiday .

Pros:

We spent a night at this hotel. It was truly an unforgettable day. We checked into the hotel in the evening. The first thing we did was change from the room and go to the pool. Their rooms are very nice, clean and very comfortable. After taking a bath from the pool, we went to dinner. The food was really delicious. They have many photo locations. One thing that really touched my heart was their service, very friendly and polite. So Specially thank mrs mihirini shanali.❤️
