Brilliant stay made special by all of their people
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, great people and amazing customer service. The guest relation officers - Chathurika and her colleagues and everyone else from front office, bell desk, restaurant and pool side etc etc showed the same passion and vibe to provide us an excellent experience.

Enttäuscht.
Cons:

Wir waren nur eine Nacht in dem Hotel und haben uns für ein ordentliches Check - In um 02.00 pm. angemeldet.

Wir waren um 02.45 pm. im Hotel und unser Zimmer war nicht bereit. Wir waren letztendlich um 03.45 pm. mit Gepäck auf dem Zimmer.

Wir konnten das Hotel nicht wie geplant geniessen, da wir um 04.30 pm. bereits einen weiteren Termin für eine Tempelbesichtigung hatten.
Ich forderte das Team der Rezeption dazu auf, dass ich mit dem Vorgesetzten sprechen möchte. Leider klappte auch das nicht.

Am Tag der Abreise - kurz bevor wir in unser Fahrzeug eingestiegen sind, kam die Vorgesetzte und entschuldigte sich knapp. Trotz einem weiteren Mail an das Hotel und ihr Versprechen, dass die Situation mit dem Management besprochen werde, hörten wir nichts mehr.

Das Restaurantteam war top, sehr nett.

Die Hospitality entspricht jedoch nicht dem Preis den wir für eine Nacht bezahlt haben und erst recht nicht einem 5 Sterne Hotel.

Da hat das Schwesterhotel, Golden Ridge in Nuwara Elyia, eindeutig die Nase vorn.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the hotel, and everything from check-in to check-out was seamless and beautifully handled. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, the food was delicious, and the spa and all other facilities exceeded our expectations. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making our experience truly relaxing and enjoyable.

What stood out the most was the warmth and kindness of the staff. Every team member treated us with genuine care and hospitality, which made our stay even more special. A special mention goes to Ven from the spa and Mihirini, who both performed their roles exceptionally well and contributed greatly to our experience. I truly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay.

We stayed here in Kandy for 3 nights as a family of 5. We all had a great time. The hotel provided us with a great drive

Fantastic hotel in the hills above Lake Kandy. Wonderful food and hospitality. Firmly recommend!
Pros:

The Golden Crown is a stunning hotel nestled in the hills above Lake Kandy. The room and facilities were excellent, but the highlight for me was the exceptional breakfast and dinner buffets. I was well looked after by a fantastic team led by Mihirini Shanali (front office), and including my wonderful driver Chamila Ranawaka

Pobyt bardzo udany, z przyjemnością będziemy wracać.
Pros:

Bardzo przyjazny i pomocny personel. Po małym wypadku z nasz córka na basenie, cały personel zaangażował się w pomoc, włącznie z kierowca, który asystował przy wizycie w przychodni. Szczególnie doceniamy opiekę Chaturiki, dziękujemy za przyjazne nastawienie i zainteresowanie dziećmi. Poza tym hotel pięknie położony, mimo że około 5-10 min samochodem od centrum Kandy, oraz bardzo dobre jedzenie. Wystrój hotelu nawiązuje do lokalnych tradycji jak również zawiera elementy nowoczesności.

Excellent stay with superb service .
Pros:

Staff were so welcomed .We loved the room . Room was so spacious. They had allocated client service staff ( Ms Mihirini) and she was so helpful and always checked on us. She gave her WhatsApp number and it was so useful and everything were message away. Communication via WhatsApp made our stay very easy and hassle free .Specially for families this kind of personal service means a lot. Also they have a play area for kids and adults. Our kids loved the play time. This was another plus for the hotel. Food was awesome .We had a wonderful stay and planning to come back for sure. Highly recommend.

Cons:

Shower could have bit bigger as it was little hard for kids to have shower compared to room size. (Not a negative point but something to consider in future)

This 5-star hotel has all the convieniences you could wish for, set few minutes from Kandy in a peaceful valley.
Pros:

The hospitality of staff is second to none, the room we had was very spacious, we had a wonderful and knowledgeable tour driver Wasantha who took us to many sites in around Kandy. The infinity pool and bar area are really excellent and the dinner buffet is good value.

Cons:

Some parts of the hotel could do with modernization.
