Lokalita užásná, přímo v srdci historického centra Prahy. Pouhý kousek pod Pražským hradem. Hotel nádherný s atmosférou z jiného století. Snídaně bohatá a široký výběr.

Ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig war die Polizeipräsenz rund um das Hotel andererseits fühlte man sich sehr sicher

They don’t really accommodate late check out requests.
The Alchymist is a lovely hotel, with a great location. The breakfast was good, and the bed pretty comfortable.
Bottom line? It is seriously overpriced. We reserved a junior suite, but it wasn't much bigger than a standard room. It did have a table and one easy chair, though. The breakfast was fine, but at these prices I didn't think one should have to pay extra for eggs Benedict, etc. The pool was too cool for us. We really would have liked to have a hot tub. Our room was on the street, and very noisy. When I asked our room steward if it was always that noisy, he said yes. That would have been a perfect opportunity for him to ask us if we wanted a different room, but he did not. I should have asked at reception, but foolishly did not. So, due to road noise starting at 6 in the morning, we didn't sleep well. The bathroom was fine, but could use some hooks on the wall for hanging out pajamas. Service was pretty good, but no one came out to help us with our luggage when we arrived, even though we saw other people being helped promptly. Overall, I would not stay here again, nor recommend it.

Diesmal war keine Möglichkeit Auto Vorort zu parken, nicht wie vor 10 Jahren. Damals musste man nur Autoschlüssel abgeben und die Sache war erledigt
We had a wonderful four-night stay at the Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa. Our Royal Suite was wonderfully spacious and lavishly decorated, complete with a walk-in closet, two comfortable seating areas, a mini-kitchen area and an extremely restful bed.
The dining was exceptional. Breakfast offered a generous hot selection, fresh pastries, cakes, an extensive array of fresh fruit and complimentary morning Prosecco, matching the lovely welcome bottle waiting in our suite on arrival. Our evening dinner at the restaurant was just as impressive.
The subterranean Ecsotica Spa was a highlight, offering a peaceful pool and sauna setting that felt worlds away from the city bustle, complemented by a basic yet adequate gym. The location in Malá Strana could not be better - peaceful, highly walkable to both Prague Castle and Charles Bridge, and exceptionally safe thanks to the diplomatic security next door. Above all, the staff were attentive and welcoming, assisting seamlessly with luggage, taxis and local recommendations.
