Very good hotel
Pros:

We stayed only for one night while travelling through, but this is a beautiful hotel, in a good location. Overlooks Kandy centre, clean, comfortable and a very good breakfast. Staff are helpful and attentive.

We are happy to recommend this accommodation in Kandy.
Pros:

We were given a very warm welcome by the hotel staff. The hotel is superbly equipped and features a rooftop swimming pool. From there, you have a lovely view of the city of Kandy and its famous Temple of the Tooth. The rooms are very spacious and the breakfast buffet is plentiful.

Cons:

There is nothing to complain about. We were completely satisfied with the accommodation, the food and the atmosphere. We will have fond memories of our stay at the hotel, as well as our city tour with the Botanic Garden and the Temple of the Tooth.

Pros:

This is a beautiful hotel with well trained and friendly staff. Our entire stay was coordinated by Mahesh, and his expertise made everything smooth and stress free. He was always helpful, attentive, and ensured we were comfortable throughout our stay. The view from the hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Highly recommended for a pleasant and memorable stay.

Great room,great view restaurant could of been more welcoming
Pros:

The hotel was pleasant but when we arrived we popped to the restaurant for a quick bite, the manager was busy trying to sort a wedding that was happening & had no time for us, which left us feeling a little disappointed. We went elsewhere for food. Room was lovely but for the wedding no other guests around.

Poor communication from staff. We checked in and I’d already requested a late check out and was responded to with “subject to availability “ despite it being check in day. On arrival the man at the desk was more interested in telling me I have to pay for a late check out abruptly when all others in our two week trip gave 2hrs free. He also failed to advise a wedding was there the next morning and told us breakfast was until 9:30am. At 8am we got woken up by a call from the lady at the desk telling us to hurry we have 15mins before breakfast ends. What?! So we dressed and hurried upstairs. Food was off a menu only, my brother ordered the local option which all curries came STONE COLD. He asked 3x for milk for the coffee. I specifically booked the hotel for the view and restaurant area to be able to sit and enjoy it. Extremely disappointing. The sheets and pillows are also marked and need bleaching or replacing.

Pros:

Had a wonderful stay at Oak Ray Heritage Hotel in Kandy. The room was huge, spotless, and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with a good variety of options, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Great service and excellent value — would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Kandy!

Pros:

Sehr nettes Personal. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und komfortabel, es hatte alles was man benötigt. Sauber und das beste zum Schluss eine wunderschöne Aussicht über Kandy.

Cons:

Kleine optische Mängel aber hat den Aufenthalt auf keine Fall weniger schön gemacht

Good location with nice view and spacious rooms
Pros:

Location of hotel was good and convenient to the city since it’s few kilometers away and easily access by vehicle or Tuk Tuk
View is nice and rooms are really spacious and the amenities are up to standers
Regarding the foods we have taken set menu for dinner and that was really good and tasty. Breakfast was a buffet on that day and had fewer option for mains which can be bit improved.

Absolutely loved the room! Has an amazing view, very spacious, very clean and really comfortable. Location is also nice

Bathroom has transparent glass windows which doesn’t have an option to be completely opaque, would’ve appreciated good blinds to block the glass window.

Location, staff and room was okay, its pretty much what you pay for.

The staff let us check in early which was very kind of them.

Cons:

The pillows smelled like sweat and didn't look like they were cleaned or washed, I had to put them outside because the stench was bad.

WiFi was also pretty bad.
