Disappointed from a hotel I have always enjoyed staying at
Pros:

Staff were all very pleasant as always and were very accommodating getting a cot put into the room for a last minute booking. Quick and easy check in. I've stayed numerous times and it's aways spotlessly clean

Cons:

Sockets in the bedroom weren't working and there was no hot water. Couldn't use TV, chargers or kettle. It was reported but we couldn't move room as baby was sleeping by this point.

Ordering breakfast was very slow although staff apologised due to another issue, had time for some tea and toast

The bed was comfortable.
The bar facilities were good.

Cons:

The room was very outdated and carpet was disgusting.
There was no radiator in the room that worked. The towel radiator in the bathroom was the only heat. Room was freezing.
Breakfast was not good. Asked for poached eggs, not cooked properly, still raw and 1 slice of toast. Had to ask for more.

It was close to the wedding venue

Cons:

The heating wasn't working except for towel radiator. Room was cold.
The toilet cistern dripped all night keeping us awake.
You could hear every conversation of the people in the room next door.
Room very old fashioned.needs renovated

Cons:

Breakfast was very greasy, fruit wasn't washed , bugs on it.
Rooms very outdated, furniture and carpet needed changed and cleaned.
Radiator in room was leaking so couldn't turn it on, room was cold.
You could hear every sound from rooms next door

Excellent staff
Pros:

Great food and staff were excellent
We were going to a wedding in the beech hill and had a taxi booked so was really convenient

Cons:

The heat in our room was on the entire night so was extremely warm the whole time. We didn’t complain as we were late in from a wedding but I’m sure it would have been sorted if we did
