Lumbini Village Lodge

This guesthouse was great. We just stayed in Lumbini for the day to wander around the temples nearby. The owner is friendly, helpful and answered all of our many questions. The room was nice and clean, with a good shower and bathroom. Would recommend.

Notre sejour à Lumbini s'est très bien passé, le patron a été super sympa avec nous et nous a beaucoup aidé avec une compagnie de bus pour aller en Inde!
La propreté de la salle de bain n'était pas exceptionnelle mais ca allait.
On recommande sans problème !

Ich buchte 3 Tage...musste umziehen, weil sie es überbucht hatten....den ersten Abend gegenüber schlafen...einpacken...auspacken....häufiger wassermangel....manchmal keine Elektrizität...wegen angeblichen strassenarbeiten so gut wie kein Wifi...absolut nicht zu empfehlen

Let us name the ways this hotel sucks:
• Wifi didn't work for me although it did for my travel buddy
• Room had not been cleaned: mirror still had spit stains on it, sink you could use finger and get rid of layer of grime, mold on tiles in bathroom, dust layers in bathroom. We didn't want to touch anything.
• We didn't receive flat sheets on bed, so asked. The first set I received were full of moth holes and dirty. Asked for another, less holes in it but still frayed and old.
• Bathroom floor was constantly wet because the toilet had a leak when flushed. Sometimes you had to flush using a bucket of water.
• We knew going in there would be hot water problems from other reviews, so weren't expecting it, but worth restating. Apparently hot water is dependent on the sun so best time to take shower is 5pm. In morning you will get a cold shower.
• Bed was hard as it just a thin mattress on plywood.
• We asked for cleaning service for bathroom, they mopped floor but didn't clean sink or mirror 😂. So bad.

Host Lila is extremely welcoming and helpful. Great place to stay

ルンビニという場所柄かもしれないが、設備は全体的に古くトイレは汚い。
エアコンがなく天井の扇風機のみでこの扇風機も轟音を立てるため寝付きが悪くなる。

Everyone who is traveling to lumbini... This is the place to go. It is host by a lovely family, and the owner speaks good English and give you a good feeling.

Dirty, uncomfortable, no facilities, serious mosquito problem in room, no running water at night. Owner insisted he had not received payment through expedia and so i paid twice.

Dopo un viaggio interminabile da Pokhara raggiungiamo Lumbini al buio, dopo alcune preoccupazioni per la zona molto desolata, il bus si ferma proprio in prossimità della strada principale.
L'hotel si trova proprio all'inizio di quella strada ed è semplicissimo raggiungerlo, l'accoglienza è ottima, l'hotel ha molte camere, a noi viene assegnata una al terzo piano. Visuale sulla campagna e terrazza sulla città. Il bagno è recente ed è abbastanza pulito.
Si trova a 2 minuti dall'ingresso del parco e con tantissimi ristoranti intorno con cibo ottimo. Consigliatissimo

Very good value for money with a helpful couple running it, good location close to lumbini entrance.

Welcome by owners is fine, but this is a terrible guesthouse. Bathrooms are dirty. Rooms are not clean. Totally overrated.

Got moved to the other side of the street because the property was already booked. Very dirty room, lots of flies and no hot water.

Nice hotel close to the Buddhist pilgrimage site and temples

Great host: made check in a breeze, great advice and help. Basic but clean room and bathroom was all we needed. Recommend.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, location was great. WiFi was not amazing but worked. shower was very nice, good pressure and warm. Overall great option for Lumbini

That’s why you may not have a hot water. No A/C, only ceiling fan. Might be hard for some people staying in Lumbini. I don’t like a/c, but I had to keep ceiling fan on all night which caused me a bit heat cold in the morning with sneezes.

Too many mosquitoes in this village, and geokos. If your room is on street side, make sure you are not a light sleeper.

Hotel’s owner is pretty knowledgeable of organizing local trips and giving women tips. A fine man, very helpful. This is the highlight of my stay there despite the negatives. Plus breakfast is freshly name, tastes
good!!

If you don’t have high expectations, this is an inexpensive choice for you to stay in walking distance to the Sacred Garden in the park.

We stayed only for the purpose "go to Lumbini".
The owner arranged my schedule for two days listening to my intention.
The rural walk was impressive.

Only the water in the shower of the room came out.
But the staff brought me a hot water with a bucket.
The breakfast was simple, but enough.

I had good memories of my trip.

Although I did not make a detailed schedule, the owner arranged two days schedule according to our intention.
