Location is central in Wilmington. Located near the Riverwalk, Live Oak Pavillion many restaurants and downtown. Pretty much everything is walking distance. The staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel was exceptionally clean. The room was spacious and had all items needed, like in room fridge, iron, blow dryer. Valet parking is available. There is also a rooftop bar and restaurants. While there, ate at the 2nd floor restaurant the food was amazing and the drinks were very good.
Nothing. Loved everything.
Beautiful spacious rooms.
All of the extra touches
The hotel and the view are both wonderful. The restaurant and on-site bar are both very spacious with excellent service. The breakfast offered was one of the best we have ever had while on vacation! The convenience to the Riverwalk, shops and restaurants were also added benefits of the hotels location!
There was some areas of the bathroom that could have been cleaned better - and the bed and pillows were not that comfortable. The bed I would rate higher than the pillows, but overall neither great for restful sleep.
Wonderful weekend spot for the family. From arrival and consistent cheerful greeting from the valet Leo to the amazing breakfast and views, we felt personally welcomed and appreciated over a busy weekend (weddingw and proms both nights). Would love to stay here again.
Leo was a great help at the valet, definitely give him a raise😁

Very convenient, good breakfast, nice staff, ok gym, and indoor pool that the kids loved. Leo at the valet stand is a gem and elevated our stay from good to great. Thanks!
i liked being able to park and walk downtown to everything we wanted to do. The breakfast was pretty good. Just the fact that they had many items to choose from was nice.
when i originally booked the room it was for the 10-12th of April. I contacted the property about adding another day. I was told to book it again for the 9th thru the 10th. I was told i could merge the bookings. Before arrival i contacted the front desk since no one contacted me back. Spoke to them and i could merge for a fee due to it being a river view but would have an upcharge for the two nights. I choose to stay in the regular room but was not given a credit back for the one night i down graded.
The breakfast was good and the room was clean.
I didnt like the fact that on Saturday i made contact with the front desk about the smell of Mary Jane in the Hall and my room 510 was very strong. It was so bad that it gave me a migrain headache and it was all i could do to sleep. The room still smelled as it came thru the room vents and the odor was bad. When i went to check out on Sunday i made sure to tell the gentalman about it again and that i made contact the night before. He said thank you for letting him know and that the account was not noted. I told him i didnt want to pay for something i did not do.
Cleaned and the location
Charging to park and the front desk staff. Gould use more luggage carts.
Great stay especially the Valet service, Leo was very professional and made our experience in Wilmington NC very special. Can’t wait to visit again

We loved this hotel! Great location and hotel. The room was clean and nice! Leo from Valet parking was great!
Leo at the valet was there when we checked in and out and he could not be more kind!
Leo the valet was very helpful when we first arrived and left! Very quick with getting our car. Very nice hotel we will be staying again!

We visited for a college tour with our daughter and stayed at this hotel due to its great location, which is within walking distance to downtown and along the river. The employees were polite, and check-in was easy. However, the parking situation was less than ideal due to ongoing construction and line painting in the evenings. While there were signs in the hotel lobby regarding the out-of-service elevator to the parking garage, there were no signs outside to inform patrons of this issue.
As Hilton Honors Members who frequently stay at Embassy Suites, we found the breakfast to be disappointing. There was only one gentleman making omelets for a large number of guests, and he mentioned that he works six days a week and was tired. The bacon and sausage were kept behind glass, requiring him to pause making omelets to serve those items, which frustrated some guests. Additionally, at least two of the lids on the chafing dishes were broken. Unlike other Embassy Suites locations, there was no 24-hour hot coffee station available.
The reception offerings were also unsatisfactory compared to our recent experience at the Embassy Suites in Orlando. While they provided pretzels and carrots with hummus, many drink items were available only at an additional cost. On a positive note, the hotel lobby and hallways were very clean, and the rooms were spacious. However, the mattresses need to be replaced; our daughter found the sleeper sofa uncomfortable, and the king-size mattress in the bedroom had definitely seen better days.
Overall, our stay was acceptable for a few days, but there are nicer hotels in the area that we would consider for our next trip.
