Hotel staff and setting excellent .
Fabulous hotel, myself and my wife spent 3 nights from 2nd to 5th of March, from start to finish everything exceptional, Trevor an amazing host and his staff so friendly and welcoming, food outstanding my favourite pork belly with scallops one of the best dishes I have ever tasted, will definitely return
We booked a 1 night stay for our mother’s 70th birthday. We had 3 rooms and all three rooms were lovely. Our parents had a room with great views looking out to sea, the other 2 rooms didn’t have the great views but those rooms were really big with comfy beds and super clean. Each room had a coffee machine and plenty of storage. An iron and ironing board was also provided in the room.
The bathroom was spacious and the toiletries that were provided were really nice. A none slip bath mat was also provided.
Each and every staff member was wonderful.
We had a pleasant welcome from the staff at check in who gave us all the information we needed for our stay.
We had a table booked for dinner in the restaurant and those staff couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the food was excellent.
Likewise at breakfast everything was superb.
It was a wonderful stay for a special occasion.
The room was very spacious, there were excellent breakfast selection in a lovely setting with a sea view
we will ask for room with a sea view in future, as we only had a car park view
Spent Valentines night for our 50th anniversary. Location perfect, Superior seaview room. Bed so comfortable, bathroom spacious with jacuzzi bath and great shower. Had a lovely lunch in the restaurant and then drinks and dinner. Meals were delicious as was breakfast and I also chose here because they had a good choice of vegetarian dishes for hubby. Great selection of cooked breakfasts and after brought our coffees over to sit in front of the fire. All the staff were so friendly and big shout out to Alice in the restaurant for being so hospitable. Will be back.
When booking I left a note to say it was my dad's birthday - when he went into the room there was balloons and a card - lovely touch.
No issues.
I liked Fiona who answered the phone and was polite and as helpful as can be. The view from our breakfast table.
The ladies at reception were not all that friendly and seemed bothered at check in. They could smile and make you feel welcomed.
It was bayview and we viewed the parking lot from an awkward disabled room. The sheets were somewhat stained and the towels were actually rough and grey. It was gross. For one night, we delt with it and moved on.
The onsite restaurant was not good. I can say it was clean as the waitress whipped out a dust buster next to people eating to dustbust the shelves and knick knack area. Food was not good and coffee was worse. Breakfast was cold scrambled eggs cooked to order but I didn’t order cold toast, cold eggs and a vat of instant coffee. I realize this sounds harsh but what we paid for the room was extremely disappointing after staying for nearly the same price in a Donegal hotel that treated you like family and you received the royal treatment.
Great location
Great staff
Good restaurant
I liked everything. The room was spacious and had a wonderful view of the sea, and the waves were crashing on the shore and rocks. Had GF corn flakes and soya milk with fresh fruit salad and coffee. The next morning, I had the same plus poached eggs and bacon. In the evenings, we had dinner at the hotel, and because of my food intolerances and the foods I don't eat anyway, I was able to omit certain items from the set menu. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Two photos were taken from the balcony of our room. We went to Derry for the day by train from Coleraine. 40 min journey: £15 return. Lovely day walking around the city.

We have just returned from a two day break at the Bayview Hotel. A very homely hotel with friendly & efficient staff, led by the owner, Trevor. It is worth booking a room with a view, at the front of the hotel. The food is delicious ..a great selection from the buffet & also for the cooked breakfast .Evening meal also gives guests plenty of choice. We look forward to a return visit very soon
Just back from an overnight stay here, as always such comfortable place to stay. In a cold January it is so warm and comforting. My advice would be book a bedroom with seaviews, it's worth it. Bedrooms are a good size and well appointed.
Enjoyed an excellent meal at night and a great breakfast.
Beautiful hotel, very well managed. Food, service, cleanliness all top notch with amazing sea view. Great for coeliacs. Would highly recommend
The Bayview Hotel is nestled in a stunning spot with a lovely view of the sea. The cosy fire, as seen in the picture, is always burning, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere- especially on chilly days. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and the service is consistently excellent. We've visited many times and look forward to coming back again and again.
