I have typically had very positive experiences staying at Hilton Hotels. The staff is generally courteous, and I have always appreciated the cleanliness and overall quality of the hotels and guest rooms.

Unfortunately, my recent experience was extremely disappointing.

I booked and paid for my hotel stay in full and traveled approximately six hours with my family expecting to check in and enjoy our stay. Upon arrival, I was informed that the credit card I had available for incidental charges could not be accepted. As a result, the hotel would not honor my reservation or allow us to stay.

I was told that this was hotel policy. However, this policy was not clearly disclosed on the hotel's website or during the booking process. Had I been made aware of this requirement in advance, I could have made the necessary arrangements before traveling six hours with my family.

I understand that hotels may have policies regarding incidental charges, but those requirements should be clearly communicated to guests before they arrive—particularly when the room has already been paid for in full.

What was especially frustrating was having traveled such a significant distance with my family only to be turned away at check-in because of a policy that I had no reasonable opportunity to know about beforehand.

I am asking Hilton to review this situation and provide an explanation as to why this requirement was not disclosed during the reservation process. I would also appreciate consideration of the inconvenience and expense this situation caused my family.

I have generally considered Hilton one of my preferred hotel brands, which is why this experience was particularly disappointing. I hope Hilton will take this matter seriously and work to ensure that policies affecting a guest's ability to check in are clearly disclosed before the guest arrives.

Great staff, nice place and good value
Pros:

The staff is great rooms a good. My shower was a bit dirty there was small stuff on the walls. Apart from that it’s was a great experience. I stay here every time I have to work in Dallas. You can’t beat it and the value is great.

Cons:

The shower was not properly cleaned when I got there. It had what appeared to be a booger on the wall. I didn’t complain as I can see how it could be missed. They should look a bit closer though.

Great stay
Pros:

The staff was verry welcomeing. The pool is nice and clean. Stop and store and get beverage. Bottle water is $8

Cons:

The location is tucked away. I didn't mind it. Now the liitle road you turn on off the interstate, you have to be paying attention. Its easy to miss. But I would stay here again when in the area.
