AC Hotel by Marriott Boston Downtown

The property is clean, new, and modern. Comfortable rooms & really nice staff. I called ahead to request a room facing Whole Foods instead of the highway and they accommodated the request. We also had an excellent check in & check out with Amy.

Breakfast is $21 pp and not included for platinum elites. The $25 daily destination fee included one $25 breakfast credit, two T passes, and two tickets up to the View (highly recommend). I also chose a $10 F&B credit as a platinum welcome gift and applied it to our breakfast for two. The hostess was attentive and the food was fine for an AC.

Despite having “Downtown” in its name, the hotel actually sits at the edge of the South End on the Ink Block right next to the highway. You walk through Chinatown to get to Downtown Boston. Same if you’re walking the 1.5 miles to the Seaport. Fine during the day, but sketchy returning at night. No security or bellman in the lobby, but you need to swipe a room key to ride the elevator.

Unfortunately, I had to file a missing stay report with Marriott Bonvoy in order to get the points and credit for my stay.

The atmosphere

Absolutely stay away from this hotel it’s not worth the hassle or headache it’s caused a non profit organization in town to start a clinical trial to help Chronic Traumatic encephalopathy

For sure Boston is the right city, but the AC Hotel has stalled our plans in multiple ways.

There’s not much else to say I would rather sleep on the T than give this place any more energy or time and my email doesn’t match my reservation Photos attached are in real time 7/8/26 at 1:05am EST

This hotel isn't a complete disaster but there's zero reason to chose this hotel when there's 100s of better options within walking distance

Lorenz the manager seems like a nice kid but was not helpful at all, I tried handling this in person but the on site manager...

Lorenz didn't know the name of the kid that refused Dr Matthew his room at 6am on a Sunday with his cards shut off

He's bar none the most resourceful and unbreakable person who views every obstacle as a blessing.

Our blessing is knowing that the AC Hotel is no place to be sending one of the Pro Athletes who are our patients with head trauma now

That kid at the front desk at 6am EST in Boston on 7/5/26 failed a beta test we weren't trying to perform. But thanks to that kid we’ll be moving along to the element Boston or over to where i’m an elite memeber…

Very nice property with an amazing staff. Needed to store luggage due to an early arrival, clerk said why store them when I can check you in now? Later in they a terrific young lady on the desk suggested a local restaurant for dinner. It too was Amaring. Definitely will be back

Bello l’albergo, pulito, vicino al centro non manca proprio nulla. Il bagno da 10 ! Bellissimo e spazioso .

It's in a great location. Very convenient. The food and Bar were fantastic. a little expensive. The showers in the room were incredible. The beds very very comfortable. An absolutely beautiful hotel. Now for the downside. It was pretty pricey for what you actually get. Please remember that you're going to have to pay for your breakfast in the morning. That was something that my wife and I were not happy with considering we spent so much money on our room. The grounds and the exterior were very well kept. The vallet was awesome.

Room are large with modern bathrooms,
Love the flooring (no carpeting!).
Hotel is within a mile walking distance from Prudential center and close to airport as well.
Parking is on site.
Found the breakfast quite primitive.
Overall very good experience

My daughter had the breakfast and was not impressed considering the cost. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for safe and secure accommodations and an easy-on and easy-off highway experience. The staff was great.

Great location walking distance to restaurants. Close to freeway and metro. Beautiful decor and lovely atmosphere.
