Lovely stay
Pros:

We came in October for 3 days during a holiday in zanzibar, staff were wonderful and could not have done more. The rooms are clean and the food was delicious,Arius looked after us very well.
The pool was clean and a very good size, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Best thing about this place is the price
Pros:

I booked here as it was a reasonable price. As others said it is slightly back from the main road and so is relatively quiet, when the staff were not shouting in the reception area. The bed was comfy and there was a mosquito net, tv and fridge. The place needs an overhaul however and things did not always work well, eg the flow of water. However you have to remember that this is Africa. I never ate in the restaurant but it was common knowledge among all the quests that the food would take at least an hour to arrive, apart from breakfast (eggs) which arrived quite quickly.

Bathrooms without sink
Pros:

Quite precarious. The bathrooms are very bad. We did not sleep in the cabins because of the deplorable bathroom (dark and unhygienic) and took two rooms in the house. The rooms were acceptable, but later in the evening we got aware that there the bathrooms doe not have sinks for the showers. We discovered the sinks in a corner behind the toilet at the other end, which means you have to flood the whole bathroom including the toilet in order to get the dirt out, but you will finish your shower before the bathroom is flooded and either is unacceptable, as a decent bathroom is a basic condition for a decent hostel room. The rest is clean but precarious for the price. The owner offered to clean the bathrooms - perhaps good will, but do you want to have someone in the bathroom while you are doing your necessities and showering? No...

past its prime
Pros:

The hotel is situated a bit removed from the road (which is good as it is less noisy) and covers extensive grounds. I stayed in a room (they also have bungalows) and found it functional yet bare of any decoration. Lighting is either dim or very bright. The wifi did not reach it. The bed was clean and a warm cover was available. The bathroom was basic, water was OK but showering meant the entire room was flooded.
Drinks were available from the bar and food too - but they needed over an hour to prepare some simple noodles and soup, and obviously did not care. Quality was mediocre.

Amazing trip
Pros:

I spend 3 days safari to Mikumi with my two kids and my husband and we had a chance to see a lot at Mikuni National Park. We spent overnight at Morio a place where our agent Uluguru Tours booked for us. Was a nice experience with good amenities too and way my kids were handled. Hopefully next year again we will visit Ruhaa and pass by to Morio. I highly recommend Morio hotel and Uluguru Tours for the best of your safari in Tanzania. Hakuna matata, Merci
