Beautiful views! We went in hopes to experience the aurora borealis (we had two nights previous luckily) even in their absence this place lacked no picturest moments. Horses in the field 10m away, the moon rising, and a peaceful time spent in the hot tub and sauna were beyond my hopes.. safe and friendly

Will definitely come back! The location is great for stargazing and watching aurora. Access to hot tub with the cold plunge was perfect. Great selection of breakfast!

We loved our stay! The property was absolutely beautiful, the rooms were wonderful and the breakfast was amazing! I’m celiac and dairy free and there were many great choices : fresh fruit, gluten free crackers, eggs, veggies, oat milk. I So appreciated the effort they put in to accommodate people with dietary restrictions. Thank you!

This is the kind of place you want to stay at when you stay in Iceland. Cabin near a running lake, gorgeous views and Icelandic horses to pet. Very comfortable cabin for 4 with beautiful views from the large glass windows. Do not miss out on this place. Its very close to Seljalandsfoss. Highly recommend it, you will not regret it.

We arrived late, check-in was very easy, the cottage was adorable. View was lovely. Breakfast outstanding. My only regret is that we were on the Ring Road family vacation - and couldn't stay longer. Highly recommend.

The room was very spacious. It had a nice view and friendly staff.

By far our favorite place we have ever stayed! The cottages are adorable and very clean. The horses were playful and friendly and the views were so great from our rooms. The staff went above and beyond for us. We had to leave early one morning and couldn’t make breakfast and the staff went out of their way and made us to go bags of breakfast! They made plenty and gave us extra snacks and a sweet note to enjoy our day! Top notch!

Outstanding and out of the way location overlooked by the Hekla volcano. Stayed in one of the new cottages overlooking the river.

Family of six from Boston, stayed for 2 nights during Spring Break (April 2025). We stayed in the cottage which was very comfortable. There are plenty of beds for us six, and we got to see northern lights in the first night! Overall an amazing stay and would definitely go back again! The hotel has couple Border Collies on site who are super friendly. We enjoyed petting them :)

A few things that could’ve made the stay over-the-top awesome: 1) microwave in the room, 2) on-site or in-room washer/dryer, 3) more food selection for the breakfast buffet. But these aren’t deal breakers for us. We enjoyed the stay a lot without them.

Excellent cozy little cottage on the river. Breakfast was great too, nothing short of spectacular. Northern lights, winding river, delicious food, what else could you possibly want?

I loved the accessible remoteness of the property. The north-facing cottages are really cute. Food and drinks were so tasty. Hot tub was *very hot (not recommended for little ones). The room was ample enough for two. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel if you are looking to catch some northern lights.
