Hotel Ruch

I have had a very pleasant stay at the Ruch hotel. The staff members were very, polite, professional, caring, competent and compassionate and well presented. The hotel facilitated my all transport arrangements both inside outside the city Kampala and naturally I felt very safe when I was exploring the city. I would definitely recommend the Ruch. It's excellent value for the money and it's located in a very safe area.

Better than expected

Friendly, helpful staff. Zam at from desk is exceptional. No noise from road, but in a location close to Garden City & Oasis Mall.
Excellent Indian restaurant on site.

Situated in quiet part of Kampala. Staff always very helpful and friendly. A little disappointed with the food this time though at Indian restaurant. Will stay again though.

We enjoyed staying at the Ruch. The staff were some of the friendliest we've ever encountered. When we checked in we were given a nice room, but no AirCon which is necessary, so we asked and were moved to a much small room with AC, which was great. Cleanliness of the bathroom could be improved. Also there was no where in the bathroom to put your toothbrush etc. The restaurant was very good. Wifi worked well all the time.

Hotel is very dated, and badly in need of refurbishing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Very hard to find if you are driving, but of course locals (taxi drivers) know exactly where it is. Ask somebody- GPS will take you to a different location.

I suppose it is a matter of getting what you pay for... the location is brilliant and it has plenty of space. It functions and the one night stay was fine, but with some repairs, modernisation and rearranging it could be so much better. I like budget hotels, but when I compare Ruch with similar places (price) in Asia, America and Europe it is way lower. The staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable, although the mosquito net was a disaster, and it served our purpose. I would recommend it as I know similar options are limited in central Kampala, but I would just recommend to Ruch to pull up their socks.

I did not liked hotel Ruch for two reasons (i) the mattress, the bed sheet and the blanket ( comfort) are all dirty. I remember the day I have forced the staff (male staff at the night shift) to change the comfort three times and finally kept scielent confirming that is what the hotel can offer and (ii) the male staff on the counter are dangerous boys for your stuffs. These boys robbed my friend of his laptop charger and as he asked they said tommorow we will check with staffs during the day n give it back to you to him...they knew that he will leave early in the morning. In the morning when he was rushing not to miss his flight, they just relplied sorry or wait until the daytime staff will come. I myself have asked them to give them a call and they again replied they do not have credit to do so...I then asked them to give us their number n they further reasoned they can't. We angrly looked for the owner/manager but he/she was not there may be cuz of the time we left. We then left without even reporting to the owner.

The hotel was very quiet and perfect for a business break. The WiFi was excellent, as was the hotel Indian restaurant. The highlight was the staff, who were all exemplary.

Not good. Breakfast doesn’t look good and area not conducive.

침구가 깨끗해 보이지 않았고, 샤워부스도 좁았다.
실내 슬리퍼나 가운 등, 없는 것이 많았다.
객실과 객실사이는 엄청 비좁아 보였고, 복도또한 좁았다.
와이파이는 잘됨.
그나마 직원들은 친절했다.
