Comodo e confortevole soggiorno a shue
Pros:

Struttura molto particolare, non propriamente tipica cinese, ma un po più hipster occidentale. Camere bellissime, pulizia ottima. La struttura offre anche tanti servizi come corsi e massaggi. Si trova in centro a shuè non a lijiang.
Ottimo il kit di benvenuto ed è super attrezzata per il clima del luogo

A gem on the Tea Horse road
Pros:

We loved this place in Shuhe Ancient Town. It is a small boutique hotel with nice room with all confort.
The style is authentic and the staff is very nice. The breakfast is superlative. We also have a private tour organizza by them in Yunnan and it was perfect. We would love to come back again.

Cons:

Nothing. Just keep in mind you are in China and not all the staff speaks a good English…but it is not a problem.

Pros:

The general manager was very helpful and gave us alot of tips on best places to visit as we have limited time in Lijiang and Shuhe Ancient Old Town. The staff were very friendly and always around to recommend restaurants to us.

The location is very within walking distance to all places of interest...would definitely come back again!

A lovely stay at Bivou!
Pros:

Our stay at The Bivou at Shuhe Old Town was truly exceptional. The location is perfect — serene and scenic, yet just a short stroll from the charming streets of Shuhe. The host and staff were genuinely warm and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The room was beautifully designed, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a lovely retreat after a day of exploring. Every detail reflected care and thoughtfulness. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend The Bivou to anyone visiting Lijiang.

Un gioiello di pace e buon gusto nella tranquilla e affascinante Shuhe. Ma la vera, enorme differenza la fa lo staff: la loro gentilezza, professionalità e calore sono fuori dal comune e ti fanno sentire immediatamente a casa.

Cons:

Trovare veri difetti è difficile, si tratta più di spunti per raggiungere la perfezione. La colazione, sebbene di ottima qualità, potrebbe beneficiare di una maggiore varietà di piatti caldi. Inoltre, è utile per gli ospiti sapere che l'alta classificazione locale ("5 diamanti") non equivale a un 5 stelle internazionale con servizi da grande resort; il lusso qui risiede nell'autenticità e nella cura dei dettagli. Un'informazione utile per avere le giuste aspettative.

Great stay at The Bivou Lijiang
Pros:

Exceptional customer service by both front and back office staff. In house Cafe serves good breakfast and a reasonable choice of both Chinese and Western dishes (and of decent standard too).

Place is cozy and tranquil, located in the less crowded neighbourhood of Shu He old town as compared to the more touristic and crowded Dayan old town.

Cons:

Nothing in particular. But for folks with physical disability and/or mobility issue, do consider carefully before going to Lijiang in general and in particular staying in the old towns of Dayan or Shu He. Cos the general terrain of the grounds resembles / replicates what a Chinese old town is like. Did not go other old towns in Lijiang but I suspect they may be the same.

Relaxing, unique, memorable.
Pros:

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bivou for its location - very conveniently located in Shuhe old town (steps away from main gate where you can get a car ride). Not forgetting the warm and personable hospitality and service by the small team. While the room may understandably be slightly dated, it served well for rest. Property itself is a respite from the busyness outside - we felt so comfortable we stayed in for an entire day, having wine, affogato, pizza and snacks while playing card games available at their restaurant. Next to the restaurant is a cool video lounge / loft where our child enjoyed some special DVD screen time. Can also borrow DVDs for in-room watching. Breakfast was very good too - a choice of western / chinese noodles + a semi-buffet of fruits, homemade banana bread, kefir (!!!), toast, etc. Simple but better than the usual hotel long buffet lines. Overall a very memorable and unique stay, thanks to the amazing team - from the owner who was always present + aunty May + all the helpful ladies. Highly recommended!

Cons:

Nothing actually. Rooms may do with a refresh but it’s not a big concern with everything else surpassing our expectations.

Stunning!
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, just by the plantations and close to the river. The rooms keeps is traditional style but with modern comfort. Also, food is delicious! Local and authentic Singaporean flavours on the table. The staff and owner are very friendly, we would stay here again.

Cosy hotel with exceptional service! This is ‘Home Truly’!
Pros:

Service was exceptional especially 阿姨 during breakfast. Located within Shuhe old town, in a quiet area. Lovely cosy hotel, clean and we had one of our best meals at their cafe.
