sargasm (not sarCasm). terrible sulphur odor. 6-7 meters wide. no serious attempt to remove it quickly.

Ocean front! Basically private beach. Restaurant is very popular with good gluten free options and great happy hour. Pool is nice

Cons:

Staff is ambivalent, and bar staff are rude. Staff do nothing to remove seaweed from beach so water unswimmable. Room dirty and out dated. Needs a serious upgrade. Only 3 of 5 windows have blackout curtains

Pros:

This hotel is located on a quiet stetch of beach. I like the comfort of having a morning coffee right at the bistro with the gentle morning sea breeze. Our stay was comfortable although very short but worth it.

Beautiful setting on the beach. View from our room (King Fish) was fantastic. Great restaurant on site.

Cons:

Our time at the hotel was great. Might have been nice to be closer to other restaurants but Bistro was really good. Only issue was with the car transfer arranged by the hotel to take us to Flores. There appeared to be a scam at the Guatemala border which involved us being required to pay USD125 extra to continue our journey due to "vehicle paperwork" and our driver did nothing to help (or was involved). We did not pay and instead had to hitch a ride from some kind American tourists. The hotel gave us a partial refund of the prepaid taxi fare to reflect the shorter journey actually provided.
