Overall great experience at Arame Hotel
Pros:

Comfortable beds, spacious room, great shower. Free coffee and water were available 24 hrs in the lobby. Free instant coffee also available in the room. Room had a mini fridge.

Cons:

Both my sister and I are Colombian citizens and Canadian residents as well. We provided our Canadian passports as proof that we resided outside of Colombia. Despite this, we were charged a 19% tourist tax (VAT) of approximately $177CDN for the 9 nights that we stayed at Arame Hotel! My husband and I stayed at a different hotel in El Poblado in Dec 2024, and we were not charged this tax, so this was a bit concerning despite reading the following:

Bathroom: No hand cream or tissues/kleenex provided. Only provided hand soap, body wash, and conditioner/shampoo (all in one). Only one roll of toilet paper provided at a time, but you could ask for more if needed. It would be great if 2 rolls were provided as there were no tissues, so you tend to run out of toilet paper quickly, especially when sharing a room with 2 people.

Room: It would have been nice to have a sitting area by the window with an armchair or a small table with chairs. The room is large enough to accommodate such a sitting area.

It would also be great if milk or cream or even powdered cream was provided in the lobby/room for your coffee.

Pros:

Buena la ubicaciòn, las instalaciones y habitacion muy limpios, el desayuno muy bueno y las camas eran còmodas.

Cons:

La atenciòn del personal al llegar el primer dia y durante el checkin fue un poco hostil. El personal de los otros dias si fue amable. El lobby muy pequeño. El restaurante solo funcionaba al desayuno.

Una experiencia mejorable en algunos puntos, pero en general, muy buena.
Pros:

Muy bueno el desayuno, la limpieza, las camas muy cómodas y el personal, muy amable, con alguna excepción. Muy bien ubicado.

Cons:

El horario limitado del restaurante para comidas diferentes al desayuno y el calor, pues aunque hay aire acondicionado, no lo encienden. Aunque las habitaciones son amplias y cómodas, me parece un poco caro para lo que ofrece, en comparación con otros hoteles. Algunas habitaciones tienen sábanas delgadas y otras gruesos edredones, por lo que hay que tener el aire encendido o apagado en la noche, según el caso, y no dan más opciones. Al llegar, la atención no fue muy cordial, pero se corrigió en los siguientes días.
