The hotel was situated near the centre of Amsterdam and close the tram that took you to Central Station. The hotel has a number of bespoke rooms which we enjoyed as well as excellent facitilities. We booked a family stay and the room accommodated us easily. We used room service and the quality of food and refreshment was above our expectations, restaurant quality. Staff were friendly and helpful. The old part of the hotel feels very luxurious and stylish.
There was some communication issues between reception staff and communication with restaurant and spa staff. We tried to book a shared spa for my wife and daughter but were told this was not possible and they would have to book two spas. This seems excessive for our daughter who is 12 and did not want a one hour treatment.

Nothing
The room was fine in the most forgettable sense of the word. Nothing broken, nothing dirty, but absolutely nothing that justified the price tag either. It felt like a mid-range hotel charging premium prices because of the name and the location.
Breakfast was a real letdown. The buffet felt like it had been sitting out too long — nothing tasted fresh. They told us we could order eggs, which sounded promising, but they took a full 25 minutes to arrive. By that point you’ve lost interest. If you’re going to offer a cooked option, have the kitchen set up to actually deliver it.
It wasn’t a disaster — the place functions, and we weren’t miserable. But when you’re paying €400 a night you expect to feel looked after, and we just didn’t. There are better options in Amsterdam for half the price that would probably leave you more impressed. Wouldn’t return.
We loved our stay at the hotel. It exceeded our expectations, with a large, comfortable and clean room! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food and drinks at the bar were exceptional! We stay a full week and the value for money was totally worth it!

Nous étions sous les cuisines donc on entendait tous les bruits des 4h du matin, au point de nous réveiller.
De plus, en rapport avec le point précédent les aérations étaient directement relié aux cuisines donc on avait des odeurs de fritures.
Clean and comfortable. Good location
Check in was late. Had to wait around after 3pm for our room which was frustrating as we arrived early and was tired. For this type of hotel you would expect the check in time to be priority and schedule strictly adhered to. They didn’t seem to care that they were late which made the experience on the first day disappointing.
Great location
Property doesn't highlight that children are able to use spa zone almost all day, so if you are looking for peace and tranquility it's definitely not happening. When we complained about extra noisy family to staff they did pretty much nothing, so we just had to leave. Also the room had only one small window and on the pictures there were rooms with huge 3 windows only
