Very friendly lady at the reception, comfortable beds
No kettle in the room; the common area (where the kettle was located) was open only until 9 p.m., and it’s hard to say from what time in the morning, because when leaving the hotel at 8:15 it was still closed; no power outlets by 2 of the 4 beds; a large amount of dust both on the room’s entrance door and on the bathroom door.
Got discount from the bakery nearby, which taste was really good
Mjóg vinalegur staður, vel tekið á móti okkur, allt til fyrirmyndar, ég mun koma aftur, takk kærlega fyrir okkur.
Allt frábært og 100% hreint og flott.
The owners were absolutely lovely people! The place was also so comfortable. Would reccomend this location to anyone staying in that vacinity.
Simple quiet place to stay
Shower works well, with good pressure and hot water. And there are adequate size waste baskets
Paid over $150 USD a night, absolutely beyond outrageous for the value returned. The property is not near the city center of Reykjavík. The room is the size of a jail cell; there's not even enough space to open the luggage stand. I could not even find room on the ground to place my suitcase without tripping over it. No HVAC of any kind; so the only way to get fresh air is to open the window. My room key was stored in a safe box outside the building, but it appears that management left the lock combo to the one they provided me, which means any stranger could have walked up and stolen my room key. Also, I was provided inaccurate info about the bus stops. I have no clue why anyone would pay this much money to stay at a place like this. With transport cost, I could have saved over $300 if I was willing to sit around the airport for 12 hours. As a side note: NEVER visit Iceland during the summer months; the locals will grievously price gouge you. If you must go, go during the off season. I have traveled to more than 40 countries in my life, and I can definitively says that Iceland is the most expensive place on earth during the summer...
