I had requested a late check out when I booked the room, not a very late check out either just an hour later (12pm instead of 11am). When I checked in, the guy at the counter told me that the late check out wasn't a problem and he would tell housekeeping not to bother me in the morning (I also declined breakfast as I was planning to be out quite late so I wanted to sleep in late as well). I asked if he needed my card for any fees or deposits and he said no. I ended up not being able to sleep in as you can hear all the guests talking and moving around clearly through the walls. When I did manage to get up to shower, housekeeping knocked on my door. I said through the door (I was in the bathroom already) that I had late check out, then there was another knock. So I had to stop everything, put clothes on, and answer the door only to have housekeeping confront me about if I had told the front desk about my late check out because no one communicated it to her. I tell her I did and go back to my shower, and AGAIN knocking on the door! I'm yelling through the door like "I have late check out! I'm literally in the shower!" but nope, MORE knocking comes so I answer the door. The lady from the front desk is there seeing if I was still in the room, asking me about my late check out because she apparently doesn't know about it either, I'm like I'm trying to shower so I can get TF out of here stop knocking on my door! I'm very upset at this point and she's trying to tell me there isn't any problem and I'm like yes there is because I'm supposed to have late check out and y'all keep knocking at my GD door asking me about it when I'm trying to shower. Anyway in the end, apparently it was never communicated by the guy that checked me in to the morning staff about my late check out and that ended up being my problem, at least I didn't have to pay the late fee in the end because of the whole issue.

De kamer viel tegen. Ik had een kamer geboekt met een raam, dit bleek een kleine lichtkoepel in het plafond die niet open kon (dus geen uitzicht) Het pleisterwerk van het plafond was deels verdwenen, gescheurd en bevatte de nodige spinnenwebben. De muren bevatte meerdere sporen van slijtage. Het bed stond erg dicht op de muur en er comfortabel omheen lopen is een uitdaging. Het beddengoed was gedateerd, het ene dekbedovertrek was nog wit, het andere vergeeld. De omschrijving van de airconditioning was versleten, hing los en niet volledig leesbaar. Het was behoorlijk fris op de kamer maar een thermostaat of radiator ontbrak. Bij aankomst was de badkamer net schoongemaakt, de vloer was nog nat, de muur bevatte echter sporen van etensresten of etensresten die weer naar buiten waren gekomen. Het is erg gehorig en ik ben zeker 4 keer in de nacht wakker geworden van gasten die naar hun kamer gingen, volgende ochtend was vermoedelijk een medewerker al vroeg behoorlijk wat kabaal aan het maken. Ik kan nog even doorgaan maar hier wil ik het bij laten. Ik zie een hoop positieve reacties op de website van Booking.com maar erg geloofwaardig is het niet na mijn bezoek. Voor de prijs van een overnachting in een 4 sterrenhotel krijg je de uitstraling en comfort van een studentenkamer. Bekijk ook vooral even de foto's.
