Employees in the TENN restaurant were extremely nice and the food was fantastic (this was the included breakfast if you pay for that option!)
Front desk staff was not helpful or nice
Nice distance to bars on broadway
I thought the pool was in ground floor and bigger. Probably should have paid more attention to the details
Talk about pricy…259 a night… then they add 30.00 a day for room service.
Listen to this… they only have valet parking next door. I did not even ask the cost. Big mistake… my car was there a total of 38 hrs… 151.00!!!!
Never again will I stay there for a hard bed too. The pool water was cloudy also.
Close to everything . Really appreciated the daily water, iced tea, & or lemonade in reception!! It was hot when we visited.
We paid for the breakfast package but didn’t care for the Tenn restaurant where you ate it. Pancakes were rubbery, toast wasn’t toasted enough-menu more to a brunch offering, not enough “breakfast “ variety of choices
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is very nice and the lobby bar makes some very good espresso martinis. The valet service was great and Wyatt and William were fantastic and very helpful.
We were very happy with this choice of hotel. The location was very convenient. The room and bathroom was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was some street noise but not excessive at all didn't bother us. We ate breakfast at Tenn two times and the food was very good. The staff was very friendly as well.
My wife and I spent the weekend at the Holston House. We arrived just in time for late afternoon complimentary cocktails in the lobby, a nice daily ritual. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with average furnishings and decor. In light of Nashville’s vibrant party scene, I was worried about noise in the corridors from nighttime revelers, but the hotel has a “quiet time” after 9:00 p.m. and remarkably, it was dead quiet both nights. The rooftop bar and pool are a nice amenity, but the pool is somewhat small and shallow (not suitable for lap swims); Friday at 5 pm the pool was relatively empty, but on hot Saturday afternoon, it was too crowded. The fitness room in the basement is on the small side, but there is adequate equipment for a good workout. The hotel is a few blocks from the riverside running trail, which goes for many miles and is a great amenity for runners. The hotel is also just a few blocks from all the action on Broadway. The hotel provided two complimentary tickets to the nearby Frist Museum, which we enjoyed. The hotel bar had live music both Friday and Saturday nights; it was also a relaxed venue to watch the World Cup over drinks. This was our first visit to Nashville, and I was impressed with the astounding number of huge hotels downtown. We generally prefer a boutique hotel, and the Holston House nicely fit the bill.
Clean, easy to access, great location, amazing desk staff, management and an exceptional valet team.
Only complaint would be size of the room. They’re a bit on the small side, especially if you get a king bed.
Outside of that, I have literally nothing negative to say about this hotel.
Small rooms. No storage space . Didn’t feel very clean.. felt old and humid
The location is superb, close to everything, yet not so close that you can hear Broadway in your room. The public spaces, as well as the rooms, are well appointed and thoughtfully designed. The lobby offers a complimentary cocktail hour when they spin some great vinyl. A very nice touch! The overall feeling was a boutique hotel with welcoming staff. Everyone, from the valet to the front desk and the management team seemed very happy to be working there. The rooms were a decent size with very nice touches, it seems like a small thing, but the luggage rack was solid metal and leather, not the typical flimsy rack. The shower was beautiful. Loved the hardwood floors in the room, hotel carpet grosses me out. Finally, I did not get to experience the rooftop pool, I just went up for a quick peek before they closed and will absolutely make time for that next time around! They offer full service and multiple seating options. I look forward to staying at this property in the future, and for more than the one night I had this trip!
Perfect location. Staff is great, friendly, helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Fun little cocktail hour in the afternoon!
Really classy hotel. Great decor and since it is small in comparison to the huge towering hotels nearby it is very quaint and charming. Rooms are great. None have baths though which was a shame. Very very clean friendly staff. We had an issue with the tv and someone came within a few minutes to arrange it. Has some nice touches like free cocktails between 4 and 5 pm. Only one criticism - housekeeping come very late sometimes even after three so if you want to rest up before heading out in the evening you have to locate a housekeeper and ask them to do your room. Other than that - great hotel. Location is fantastic. Two minutes away from assembly food halls and just a short safe walk to downtown. There are a few stairs to enter the hotel and I dont know if they have an alternate entrance for disabled visitors.
Location to venue we were there to attend
Temperature of the room was not comfortable and wouldn’t adjust to a comfortable setting
Our stay at the hotel was exceptional. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. There were very helpful and offered recommendations for different activities in the area. The hotel itself is beautiful and full of history.
Holston house was one of the most incredible experience. One could ask for they were over the top with their hospitality.
Good location and lovely rooftop pool
Rooms a little small
