You get what you pay for. This is a budget hotel with no frills. It suited my needs as I just needed a bed for the night.
Good but dated room. Easy parking.
Hotel was locked up while 4pm hotel is passed its sell by date by years ! And Breakfast was like chimpanzee s party ?wasachim
The contact number on the website leaves you unanswered, so there is no way to contact them before your booking
Arrives at hotel before check in and there is no members of staff apart from 2 cleaners.
There is 2 numbers on the front desk for call if there is no staff, however again, there was no answer.
Eventually the manager arrived rubbing his eyes
Poor service from what I can only assume to be the manager. Sighed at every question asked and made us feel like an inconvenience because we arrived early.
There is a storm outside and we asked if we could sit inside to wait for check in, and again, the manager sighed and said we could sit at the chairs at the front door. We actually left instead because of the way he made us feel, and sat outside in the car during a storm.
We arrived again at 3:50 to check in as this "manager" said check in was between 3pm and 4. No answer at the front desk again. We catch a cleaner and ask them for this man to check us in. He refused to come down stairs and told the cleaner we would need to wait another 10 minutes.
The next morning, once again, no staff for breakfast. The breakfast was extremely poor poor quality. The options are ridiculously limited as is clearly served as a first come basis. If you are entering any later than 8am then everything is gone.
We had a dog and wanted to clarify if we could sit inside so we called the number at the desk. This same manager answered and told us he would be right down. No one showed and left.
From and unwelcoming hotel overall. Clean room and comfortable bed but poor shower and television reception. Substandard service and limited selection of foods at breakfast and did not have a number of the foods offered on the limited 3 options on the breakfast menu e.g. porridge with berries and honey - NO BERRIES 1st thing on Sunday morning. Bar closed and no food available in the hotel at all due to ‘lack of staff’. Private function until midnight on our first night meant we did not get to sleep until after it stopped at midnight.
parking was available. Food did not exist no chef available. No breakfast that was paid for in advance - and still awaiting the refund that was promised. This was authorised at the property!!!
Bar had no available draughts and very poorly stocked fridges. Wifi is terrible.
The breakfast was a disgrace, we paid extra for breakfast which turned out to be toast and a yogurt!!
The hotel has a staffing issue and lack of people meant we felt like this was a self service hotel. The breakfast ingredients were cheap and this came through in the quality of the breakfast
Could do with handrai
In shower unit for older people in the room you put me in.
The bed was comfortable, was a bit dated though. Didn’t have much option for breakfast but was a good size.
The hotel is pretty run-down. The room was clean, the TV worked but the beds were very narrow and uncomfortable. The toilet was clean, and there were towels, but again it was very small (shower, no bath). The breakfast in the morning was adequate, but with a bus load of Chinese tourists, the single person at breakfast was overrun.
I would not recommend it
Really friendly check in. Informative gave us later check out due to the nature of our stay. Room very spacious and clean. However room very cold radiator doesnt work. Called the number at reception they brought a portable heater which was fab. If it had just been my partner & myself staying it
Soiled sheets on bed, curtains hanging off, no bulbs in light
The location was great for the station. The check in was via the bar and the man was very friendly and helpful. He appeared to be working alone. The hotel itself although clean and comfortable was in desperate need of updating and maintenance - the gutters were great for the grass! Didn't try the shower or the breakfast. Ok for 1 night.
The room was clean on arrival although a little tired in places mainly in the shower area. The bed was amazingly comfortable giving a great night sleep. The staff are polite, friendly and very willing to help in anyway they can
Ample parking, friendly staff. Very dated and definitely not the best sleep ive had, bed was solid and creaky floorboards above me didnt help matters. Clean bed linen and fresh towels, breakfast was reasonable but little choice either hot or cold. Bar also called last orders at 20:30.
Good parking available onsite, a friendly welcome at reception, had expected a restaurant in the hotel, but was advised of local eateries by the guy on reception, which helped. Our room was compact but for one night it was fine, thick white towels and soap/shampoo supplied too. Plenty of hot water. Would stay again.
We ate at the India Cafe, a 3 min walk and can highly recommend.
Not a desirable area of town. Everything in the room was very sloped including the beds.
