Comfortable, Great value
Pros:

The Athenaeum K29 is located slightly outside of the touristic center. The main street towards the centre is pretty lively and about a 15min walk. Theres a metro station close by too. But the side streets seemed sketchy as. So we rather avoided them because it felt rather uncomfortable to walk them. But thats the only downside, if you can even call that a downside since its pretty common sense where you should and shouldn’t walk. The hotel itself is clean, has helpful staff and really good breakfast with a midsized selection, but it tasted fresh and delicious. The Gym on the roof top not only offers a great view, but also has enough equipment to get a good travel session in. Pro tip workout at Sunrise or Sunset. Ask the staff, you wont find it otherwise. The room was big and had a comfortable bed. Traffic wasnt too bad at night and the sounds were not too loud for a 5 Million people city.

If we ever visit Athens again, we would use the same hotel as we are satisifed with our stay.
Pros:

They have many options at breakfast. It is a good buffet breakfast. Although it is exactly the same everyday, there is enough variety for you to not get bored. The staff at this place are absolutely wonderful and helpful people. Their warm and friendly hospitality made our stay a very pleasant one. Thank you dear staff for being positively unforgettable.

Cons:

Well, in this area you will see quite a bit of homeless people around and therfore some begging on the streets. I cannot say that it is unsafe, because it is not like that, but just setting the record straight.
