Pros:

Das Essen war super Und preisgünstig Das Zimmer war jeden Tag gereinigt. Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren jeden Tag ausgetauscht. Personal und Besitzer sehr freundlich alles super

Gute Lage, freundliches Personal.

Cons:

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen und heruntergewirtschaftet. Überall stapeln sich kaputte Dinge: Hinter dem Hotel verrosten zwei Autos, am Eingang liegen kaputte Schirme und Liegen. Auch vor der Küche ist es sehr unaufgeräumt, alte Computer und weiterer Müll, nicht sehr Appetit anregend. Der Kinderspielplatz ist verwittert und teils kaputt. Sehr schade, das Hotel hatte gewiss gute Zeiten.
Für uns kein zweites Mal.

The basics are provided and functional but there is a need for maintenance
Pros:

Stuff was very nice. The lady responsible for as far as I can tell everything in the hotel (as well as being a waiter for the cafe!) obviously does not have the capacity to be in multiple places at once and seems to be constantly working throughout the day. Considering the workload she was always really nice and helpful.

Despite the issues (see below) our stay was pleasant. The room was clean, the bed and shower working fine and the air condition was working well which is what you need to have a base and then go for daily excursions. Also there is a donkey across the road, braying every now and then. Maybe some people won't like him but we thought he was great and gave him some treats 😁

Goes without saying that Epirus is extremely beautiful and the Kanali beach, on which the hotel is on, though not the best of the area of course, is still great.

In Kanali you can find a great bakery with tasty bougatsas and other treats for breakfast 🙂

Cons:

The hotel has an issue with its infrastructure. Almost everything is old and many things were almost broken. It is obvious that there is some kind of financial difficulty and non essential maintenance has been paused for many years. Here are a few things to get an idea:

- The fridge was unplugged and some ants had found their way in. When we switched it on they started moving out. We found their nest at the corner and the stuff gave us some insect spray that we used. We did use the fridge just fine just had to put food in bags just in case.
- The freezer compartment didn't have a door
- There was no breakfast as far as we can tell. There was some equipment for waffles near reception with big containers of praline etc. which had their leads open day and night.. Not sure if that was for the cafe or for the breakfast if there actually was a choice to have it (we don't know).
- The water tap in the bathroom was almost completely blocked with lime scale.
- The lock on the balcony door was broken though the blinds behind it were ok.
