Lijiang Merry Inn

Nicole, the hotel manager was excellent in giving us all the information that we needed. She was a star. All of her staff were excellent too. Breakfast was super delicious. The hotel is three minutes walking distance from the old town which is where the magic of Lijiang starts.

Situato a 10 minuti a piedi da Dali ancient town

The biggest issue was that it was so so loud. When the neighbour room flushed sounded like it was right by you. When people talked outside it sounded like they were in your room. The bed and pillow was not comfortable for me. Everything was old, the hairdryer was useless and cleaning wasnt really good. And we got a packed breakfast because we had to leave early which was a nice gesture problem was it waa one bun for two people and two fruits. Pretty small packed breakfast.

The service was EXCELLENT! The staff arranged a packed breakfast for our early morning tour, they were always willing to help. They helped when payment of taxis or communications failed. Always provided water and tea. Carried out luggage, waiting until after 1am for us to check in and always friendly!!!

Because a staff understood English, it was easy to communicate even for us who didn't understand Chinese. Lijiang Old City was also nearby, so it was convenient.

四方街、大通りの民主路へ徒歩7〜8分程度でアクセス出来る。獅子山の中腹にあり坂の登り降りは伴うものの喧騒から離れ静かな滞在に適している。部屋から眺望は望めないものの清潔で、中国では珍しくウォシュレットがある。スタッフは皆フレンドリーで玉龍雪山で早朝出発する朝は朝食ボックスを用意してくれた。朝食は8時〜10時半だが内容は改善の余地ありかも。

Took me a bit of effort to find so do your navigation before arriving. Baidu map didn't help as it point me to the opposite side near the south entrance. Otherwise, great place and service

The hotel is clean and neat but the climbing the stairs to the hotel entrance is a challenging problem.

Conveniently located in the Old Town. But climbing up the stairs carrying luggages is very challenging for the seniors. It is not recommended for the seniors/people with mobility problems.

From the moment I browsed through Booking.com, I found Lijiang Merry Inn. I was far positive that this could be such a serenity for our holidays. This is my second time in Lijiang, and I was staying at this property with my beloved neighbors from Bangkok. We are proud to say Nicole and her amazing reception crews are incredibly helpful, kind, gentle, and full of warm welcome, which we could not possibly easily find anywhere else but here. I made a pre-contact with Nicole about booking our excursions in Lijiang in advance (the Labor Day week in China, things were fully booked quickly), and the property had been so responsive and sorted things out for us almost immediately, which turned out just amazingly. I gained so much trust from the property that they let us pay everything upon arrival. During our stay, they took care of us so well and never hesitated to do what they could when we needed it. We truly appreciated what they did for us. Nicole speaks good English, and sometimes you just have to use Wechat to communicate better with the hotel. 
Talking about location, Lijiang Merry Inn is beautifully located on the hillside, and you could enjoy the panoramic, breath-taking views of the legendary Lijiang Old Town below. The hotel upgraded our rooms so you could take in the fresh air and the picturesque views from above the hill. People who have health concerns may not be the best and may consider it difficult to walk up and down hills sometimes. But this is not a big deal for us. We sometimes walk down hills, but walking up can be exhausting, and our hearts beat fast from the steepness. Only taxi meters and tour company vehicles are allowed to pick you up at the entrance near this property, which is on the hill. The room amenities are just perfect and in good condition. The hotel is located near the north gate of the old town area, and you can have a short walk to the city or old town area. Come and stay here; it is exceeding expectations. !! 6 stars

Jessica and her team made us feel very welcomed. They helped us with our tour to Yulong mountain and recommended a great local restaurant.
